Description

This paper describes an integrated framework to evaluate short-run marginal costs in hydrothermal systems, taking into the chronological aspects of reservoir operation, transmission constraints, equipment failures and hydrological variation. The proposed approach is illustrated in a case study with the Brazilian North-Northeastern system. (author). 17 refs., 8 figs
