Synthesis and atomic structure of dysprosium germanate Dy3GeO5(OH)3 crystals

Description
Dysprosuim germanate Dy3GeO5(OH)3 crystals are prepared by the method of hydrothermal synthesis.X-ray specification of structural parameters is reduced to R=0.062. The crystals are monoclinic,sp.gr.P21/m,a=5.48A,b=5.920A,c=10.215A, γ=105.02 deg, V=320.1 A,Z=2, ρcalC=7.2g/cm3. The crystal structure is built of two types of dysprosium polyhedron (octahedrons and heptahedrons) and Ge-semioctahedrons.Dy-polyhedron contacts creating an architectural structure motive are mainly performed in ribs
