Non-Hermitian quantum mechanics in the context of the Lindblad equation

  • 1. Faculty of engineering, Oslo University College, 0130 Oslo (Norway)

Description

The concept of absorbing boundaries is generalized such that the remainder of a many-particle system is still described after absorption of one or more particles. The formalism may be generalised further in order to describe any process in which particles are 'lost' due to some anti-Hermitian term in the Hamiltonian.
