Description
It is shown that adequate coordinate frames for the presentation of alignment and orientation measurements can considerably facilitate the interpretation of such detailed information on collision processes. Formulas necessary for convenient analysis and transformation of multipole moments and density matrix elements applicable to both particle photon coincidence experiments and studies using optically pumped atom beams are presented.
