Materials management in a CNJC npp decommissioning project or the art of cooking the Raw material

Materials Management in a decommissioning project is considered one of the main activities that are included in the process of Transformation of the Facility that will be able to characterize, classify, condition and temporarily store them, before sending to their final destinations. The final product in a dismantling rare the different types and currents of material to be managed. These materials will be classified as Conventional and Radioactive. Enresa, with its experience acquired in the dismantling undertaken previously, guarantees the proper management of them, their delivery to their final destinations as well as the protection of the environment and people. This article describes the types of materials to be managed, the processes, the logistics, the organization and conclusions obtained from this management in the decommissioning and closure project of the José Cabrera NPP
