Routine tritium determination in water samples by gas proportional counting

A routine method is presented for determining the tritium activity in natural water samples by means of a gas proportional counter with hydrogen as a counting gas and P-10 gas (90% Ar + 10% CH4) as a quenching gas. Design, mode of operation, performance, background, and sensitivity are discussed
