Problems related to underground production of radioisotopes

Description
Long lived radioisotopes created in the atmosphere and mixed with rain water recharging groundwater reservoirs are of potential use for determination of groundwater residence time. Limiting factor is here the possibility of underground production of these radioisotopes. This paper reviews the possibility of production and summarizes findings in this area during last years.
