Emanation of radon from solid samples
Description
The possibility of measuring the radon emanation coefficient from solid samples is described. A simple mathematical model is used to calculate the specific surface area of the sample. Measurement is done in a closed chamber with air circulation. An electrostatic filter removes the radon decay products measured with an alpha spectrometer. (author). 9 refs, 2 figs, 1 tab
