Influence of thermoelectrical migration of In+i ions and cadmium vacancies on photovoltaic properties of polycrystalline CdTe:In:Cl films
Description
The photovoltaic effect was researched in the oblique-sprayed CdTe films, specially doped by In and heat treated in vacuum, free air, and air with CdCl2 vapor. It is found out that the photovoltage generated in CdTe:In (2-4x103 V) films is more by one order (short circuit-photocurrent - by two orders) than that in undoped samples. In our opinion, it is due to thermoelectrical migration of In+i ions and cadmium vacancies in the grain border's intra-crystalline asymmetric fields. (author)
