System for enrichment and liquid scintillation counting of low level tritium in water
Creators

Description
Analytical method for measurement of natural tritium in water samples is described. The method adapted in the Tritium Laboratory in Krakow consists of electrolytical enrichment and liquid scintillation counting. A set of 20 steel cells is used for routine enrichment. Tests of reproducibility and possibility of contamination results in analytical accuracy of +-4% and minimum detectable tritium content of 3 T.U. Insta-gel and dioxane based scintillators are used for water samples counting in a TRICARB spectrometer. (author)
