[en] The energy transfer spectra of methyl-, ethyl- and n-amyl alcohols in the liquid state at room temperature have been measured by cold neutron scattering and beryllium detector methods. A description is given of the apparatus used for the latter measurements. The principle feature observed in each case is a broad band of energy transfers from 0 to 50 m V. At higher energies there is some indication of the excitation of a level at 170 m V in the neutron energy loss spectra. This corresponds to the molecular vibrational mode in which the hydroxyl group bends with respect to the C -O bond observed by 1-R spectroscopy at 170 mV. The C -O bond stretching mode at 128 mV was not observed. The 0 - 50 mV band is discussed in relation to previous measurements of the variation of total cross- section for long wavelength neutrons and optical measurements of free and hindered internal rotation in alcohol molecules. Les spectres de transfert d'energie des alcools methylique, ethylique et n-amylique ont ete mesures a l'etat liquide et a la temperature ambiante, au moyen de la diffusion de neutrons lents et par des methodes de detection au beryllium. Les auteurs decrivent l'appareil employe pour ces dernieres mesures. La caracteristique principale observee dans chacun des cas est une large bande de transferts d'energie allant de 0 a 50 mV. Pour des energies superieures, quelques indices donnent a penser que le niveau de 170 mV est excite dans les spectres de perte d'energie des neutrons. Ceci correspond au mode de vibration moleculaire dans lequel le groupe hydroxyle se deplace vers la liaison C -O observee par spectroscopie infrarouge a 170 mV. Le mode d'extension des liaisons C -O a 128 mV n'a pas ete observe. Les auteurs etudient la bande de 0 a 50 m V en fonction de mesures precedentes de la variation de la section efficace totale des neutrons a grande longueur d'onde et des mesures optiques des rotations libres et des rotations internes amorties dans les molecules d'alcool. Los autores han medido los espectros de transmision de energia de los alcoholes metilico, etilico y n-amilico en estado liquido a la temperatura ambiente por el metodo de dispersion de neutrones frios y del detector de berilio. Describen los aparatos utilizados para llevar a cabo esas mediciones. La particularidad mis notable que se observa en cada caso es una amplia banda de transmisiones de energia de 0 a 50 m V. Para energias mas elevadas, hay indicios de la excitacion de un nivel a 170 mV en el espectro de perdida de energia neutronica. Ello corresponde al modo vibratorio molecular en que el radical hidroxilo se desplaza respecto al enlace C -O, observado por espectroscopia infrarroja a 170 meV. No se ha observado el modo tensor del enlace C -O a 128 mV. L)s autores estudian la banda 0-50 mV en relacion con mediciones anteriormente efectuadas de la variacion de la seccion eficaz total para neutrones de onda larga, y con mediciones opticas de movimientos rotatorios libres y restringidos en las moleculas de alcohol. [en] The object of this work is the study of techniques of measurement of the absolute activity of electron capture nuclides. Two methods have been specially studied. Determination of the number of X rays emitted from the K shell due to the reorganization of atomic electrons following electron capture. This measurement was made with a high pressure (5 kg/cm2) 4π proportional counter. The absorption in the source and the backing were also studied. To determine the absolute activity it is necessary to know the fluorescence yield and the different capture probabilities PL and PK. When the electron capture is followed by γ emission (within the resolution time of the coincidence circuit) the activity was determined through the X-γ coincidence method. In such a case it is not necessary to know the fluorescence yield and the capture probabilities. Various corrections - dead time, chance coincidences - were also studied. This method minimizes the decay scheme corrections. By applying these two methods to the following nuclides: Cr51, Mn54 and Zn65, the corresponding fluorescence yields have been determined: vanadium ωK = 0.191 ±0.002, chromium ωK = 0.262 ± 0.002 and copper ωK = 0.390 ± 0.004. Le but de ce travail est d'etudier les techniques de mesure absolue des isotopes se desintegrant par capture electronique. Deux methodes ont ete plus specialement etudiees. Determination du nombre de rayons X emis a partir de la couche K, lors du rearrangement atomique suivant la capture electronique. Cette mesure est effectuee a l'aide d'un compteur proportionnel 4π sous pression (5 kg/cm2). Les corrections d'absorption dans le support de source et d'autoabsorption sont etudiees. Pour determiner l'activite absolue, il est necessaire de connaitre le rendement de fluorescence ωK et les differentes probabilites de capture, PL et PK. Lorsque la capture electronique est suivie d'une emission γ en coincidences X-γ. Il n'est pas necessaire de connaitre le rendement de fluorescence et les probabilites de capture. Les differentes corrections sont etudiees (temps-mort, coincidences fortuites). Cette methode permet de minimiser les corrections dues aux schemas de desintegration. En appliquant ces deux methodes aux radionucleides suivants: Cr51, Mn54 et Zn65, les rendements de fluorescence correspondants ont ete determines: vanadium ωK = 0.191 ± 0.002, chrome ωK = 0.262 ± 0.002, cuivre ωK = 0.390 ± 0.004.
