AbstractAbstract
[en] In order to transmit a large quantity of experimental data, 350 GBE cards re needed in LHCb experiment, which employs millions of nuclear detector channels. GBE card is a quad full-duplex Gigabit Ethernet Card. Each aspect of GBE design will be introduced in detail in this paper, including its hardware design, implemented network protocol, test methods and so on. (authors)

[en] The data acquisition environment for the neutron scattering instruments supported by LNS at SINQ is described. The intention is to provide future users with the necessary background to the computing facilities on site rather than to present a user manual for the on-line system. (author) 5 figs., 6 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] We describe a microprocessor controlled data acquisition system designed for Moessbauer spectroscopy which operates in both pulse height analysis and multichannel scaling with high counting rate (> 20 MHz) and resolution (up to 8192 channels per spectrum). The apparatus makes use of two counters and of a double memory block. It is thus possible to obtain a minimum channel-advance dead-time lower than 50 nsec and a minimum dwell-time of 1 μsec. The accumulated data are transferred to a microcomputer for storage and analysis from one of the two blocks while the other continues the acquisition process. The system is totally programmable, and all the acquisition parameters can be easily selected in a wide range. (orig.)

[en] A report is given of the present status of the KAMIOKANDE (Kamioka Nucleon Decay Experiment) detector, that is now in operation at the 1000 m underground in the Kamioka mine in Japan. A brief account is made on the preliminary results obtained in the first one month running of the detector

AbstractAbstract
[en] A complete description is given of the input data requirements for the reactor inventory code RICE. Facilities for modifying temporarily the library and input data are described. Three sample cases are also included, both input and output, to facilitate programme testing. The three cases correspond to the three fundamentally different ways of running the programme, namely, to calculate actinide inventories only, to calculate fission product inventories only, or to calculate composite actinide-fission product inventories. RICE is written in Fortran IV (level H) and is compiled under release 20.6, OPT = 2 on the IBM 370/165 computer. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper reports that for nuclear physics experiments at the internal and external beam of the Julich Cooler Synchrotron COSY, a three-level data processing and acquisition system is developed. Signals from various detector arrangements are digitized and preprocessed by CAMAC, FASTBUS and VME modules. A multiprocessor system based on VME bus is used for event-building, data recording and buffered data transfer to the host computer. All crates are connected by parallel VICbus. For this, an intelligent CAMAC crate controller with VICbus is under development. Microcomputer-based VME modules are equipped with CPU's of the 680XO family, working under OS-9 real-time operating system. The data acquisition system is mainly based on commercially available modules. For experiment control and data analysis, workstations as part of a local cluster are provided. Proprietary standards developed at CERN, together with OSF open standards will be implemented. TCP/IP protocols for VMEbus masters and host computer serve for initialization and command transfer

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper describes a versatile and flexible data acquisition system KO-DAQ (Kakuken Online Data AcQuisition system) which has been developed. The system runs with CAMAC and a most popular Japanese personal computer, PC9801 (NEC), similar to the IBM PC/AT. The system is designed to set up easily a data acquisition system for various kinds of nuclear-physics experiments

AbstractAbstract
[en] The data acquisition system of Tokamak TBR-1 has as goal to obtain retrieval signal from diagnostic systems. The final process of storage, register and transfer of the signals is described. The hardware used to convert the signals and its storage and the software developed for the operation are discussed
[pt]
(autor)Original Title
