[en] Present article is devoted to stimulant properties of coordination compounds. It was defined that the moistening of cotton seeds by water-soluble polymer with coordination compounds additives increases the sowing quality of cotton seeds. As stimulants the coordination compounds of iron with anions of succinic and ethylen-diamin-disuccinic acids were used.
[en] A process of Bulk Oxalic Acid (BOA) chemical cleaning was performed for Tank 12H during June and July of 2013 to remove all or a portion of the approximately 4400 gallon sludge heel. Three strikes of oxalic acid (nominally 4 wt % or 2 wt %) were used at 55 deg C and tank volumes of 96- to 140-thousand gallons. This report details the sample analysis of a scrape sample taken prior to BOA cleaning and dip samples taken during BOA cleaning. It also documents a rudimentary material balance for the Tank 12H cleaning results
[en] Polarographic reduction of the maleic and the fumaric acid complexes of cadmium and lead was studied at 300C and ionic strength 2.0. The overall stability constants of the complex species present in these systems obtained by the Deford and Hume's graphical method of analysis are reported and plots of percentage distribution of various species present in a system vs.log ligand concentration are presented for all the systems studied. [en] Corrosion resistance of coating system consisting of zinc-rich primer (ZRP) and topcoat based on polyurethane resin with the presence of 3-aminopropyl-triethoxysilan (APS) and 2-(benzothialylthio) succinic acid (BSA) was studied by electrochemical impedance and wet adhesion. The interface metal/primer/topcoat was analyzed by scanning electronic microscopy. It was found that the presence of APS and BSA improved adhesion and barrier property of the topcoats
