AbstractAbstract
[en] Proton decay presents an opportunity to obtain nuclear structure information for a nucleus situated beyond the proton drip line. This relatively rare decay mode is a quantum tunneling phenomenon where the decay rate is determined by a delicate interplay between the Coulomb and centrifugal terms of the nuclear potential. Ground-state proton emitters have been discovered for the odd-Z elements having Z = 51--55, 63, and 67--83. Recent results on proton radioactivity are described. Nuclear structure information such as spins, single particle orbital orderings, spectroscopic factors, and mass excesses have been obtained for a number of spherical proton emitters. New results on deformed proton emitters are discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper, we study the prolate to oblate nuclear shape phase transition in odd-A nuclei with the help of the controlled single particle (CSP) concept. At first, we construct the corresponding Hamiltonian of the system, and related energy eigenvalue and eigenfunction are derived analytically. Then, according to the concept of the CSP, appropriate angular momenta of the even-even core inside of the odd-A nuclei are determined for 189Ir, the experimental candidate of this model. To examine the results, relative excitation energy and B(E2) transition rates of 189Ir are reproduced and compared with experimental data. The results show a good agreement with them.

AbstractAbstract
[en] In the analysis of time-reversal and Moessbauer absorption experiments, it is important to consider atomic processes which interfere with the direct nuclear transition. Interaction of the photon with the atomic electrons causes the radiation to acquire a phase shift, specified by the interference parameter xi(Lπ). We present theoretical expressions for xi and compare our calculated values with experiment. Satisfactory agreement is obtained. In particular, an apparent violation of time-reversal invariance in the 129-keV transition of 191Ir is fully explained by these effects

AbstractAbstract
[en] The process in which a nucleus disintegrates by emitting a proton is known as proton decay. Above the proton drip line, the nuclei with positive Q values are proton unstable. Nuclear surface energy coefficient of proximity potential plays a vital role in deciding the preformation probability of alpha and clusters. Further it decides the accuracy of half-lives. It motivates to study the branching aspect of a medium nuclei 166Ir for proton and alpha decay. In the present work fission model with Coulomb, proximity and centrifugal potential for post touching region and a simple power law for pre touching region is used, which is given

AbstractAbstract
[en] The hyperfine splitting of 52MnFe, 52MnNi, 58CoFe, 60CoFe, 60CoNi, 60CoCo, 90NbFe, 95TcFe, 181ReFe, 182ReFe, 184ReFe, 191Irsup(m)Fe, 191Irsup(m)Ni and 198AuFe was determined by the NMR-ON technique. Recoil implantation after nuclear reactions has proved to be very efficient in the investigation of short-lived radioactive isotopes by NMR-ON. The deduced nuclear g-factors of g(90Nb) = 0.6176 +- 0.0005; g(95Tc) = 1.294 +- 0.016; g(181Re) = 1.258 +- 0.025; g(182Re) = 0.399 +- 0.008; g(184Re) = 0.833 +- 0.017; g(191Irsup(m)) = 1.0972 +- 0.0063 are discussed in the framework of the shell or Nilsson model. A Knight shift of 16 +- 2% was observed in the system 191Irsup(m)Ni; its physical origins are still unknown. (orig./AK)

(orig.)Original Title
