AbstractAbstract
[en] In this work, a detailed description of an on-line control system for laser heat treatments based on pyrometric monitorization, is presented. The study includes full details concerning monitorization devices and comprehensive description of the control loop, based on a direct synthesis regulator. The system validation and exportable character of the proposed method are also discussed. Finally, results obtained for CO2 laser transformation hardening of F-14 steel are analyzed, including parametric analysis of control variables through metallurgical testing of the treated material. AbstractAbstract
[en] Development of extraction processes in inorganic chemistry results from the need of high grade salts in nuclear applications. Nowadays, 200 hydrometallurgical plants ensure the recovery, the purification and the separation of metals. The efficiency of solvent extraction processes in term of extraction abilities, cost and safety depends strongly on the solvent and the extractant. Consequently, numerous works concern the search of efficient and costless new extractants and diluents. In the paper, an overview on the uses of Room Temperature Ionic Liquids (RTIL) and Supercritical Fluids (ScF) in extraction is presented

AbstractAbstract
[en] Considering 3 criteria: content of valuable metals in nodules, sale prices, present and future state of the metal market, constituents of nodules are classed into various kinds. The most interesting elements and the valuable products are then defined. Every possible processing methods are examined principally the hydrometallurgical ways, and a low number of processes are selected. Their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. One of the selected processes is studied from an economic point of view: investment and processing costs, freight charges. The opportunity of obtaining a concentrated product near the mixing place is examined. As a conclusion, the conditions are defined which are necessary for a processing scheme to provide profits

AbstractAbstract
[en] With the aim to decrease charge materials and electrical energy consumption, increase the process efficiency and reduce production cost a new method of ferrovanadium smelting is suggested. The difference of the method from the known one lies in the fact that during the first period of the process vanadum slag is loaded into the furnace in the amount of 23.1-24.4 wt.% before loading the remaining part of the charget. During the second period additionally loaded is the mixture containing at 10-15% of each of the following components: vanadium slag, vanadium pentoxide and lime. After refining the alloy contains 38.9-46.9 wt% V. The annual economic effect with the transition to ferrovanadium smelting by the suggested technology constitutes about 3.5 mln. roubles (for 40 thousandtons)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Since discovery in 1967 crown ethers, cryptandes, calixarenes and similar compounds were successfully applied for metal ions separation in solvent extraction and transport through liquid membranes. In presented paper results of the studies on competitive transport of Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) ions from aqueous solutions across a polymer inclusion membranes (PIM) consisting of sym-(decyl)dibenzo-16-crown-5-oxyacetic acid as the ion carrier was studied
