AbstractAbstract
[en] With the purpose of expansion of searching spectrum of potentially biologically active substances, which are the representatives of 1,2,4-triazole heterocyclic system, synthetic investigations of a number of 5-(quinoline-2-il, 2-hydroxyquinoline-4-il)-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiones and 12 new compounds, which are the salts of 2-(5-(quinoline-2-il, 2-hydroxyquinoline-4-il)-1,2,4-triazole-3-ylthio) acetic acids, have been synthesized. The physical and chemical constants have been determined, the structure and individuality have been confirmed using modern methods of physical and chemical analysis for all compounds synthesized. 2-(5-(quinoline-2-il, 2-hydroxyquinoline-4-il)-1,2,4-triazole-3-ylthio)acetic acid salts have been investigated using software PASS (Prediction of Activity Spectra for Substances) for determining dependences between computer analysis data and structure of synthesized compounds. Results of computer forecast are the evidence that mentioned compounds can possess antioxidant and anti hypoxic activity. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A simple one-pot synthesis of new ferrocene-containing 1,3-thiazinan-2-imines from 3-arylamino-1-ferrocenylpropan-1-ols and phenyl isothiocyanate has been developed. The key intermediate β-hydroxy thioureas were generated in situ using ultrasound irradiation and subsequent cyclization was achieved by the addition of acetic acid. The scope of the reaction towards various 3-arylamino-1-ferrocenylpropan-1-ols has been explored and the corresponding 3-aryl-6-ferrocenyl-N-phenyl-1,3-thiazinan-2-imines were obtained in moderate to high yields (52–90%).

AbstractAbstract
[en] Ultra-trace detection from polluted solution makes great contribution to environmental monitoring, food safety and medical analysis. However, its common difficulty arises in concentrating analytes on easily accessible substrate for highly amplified detection intensity. Herein, a superhydrophobic Al-Mg alloy surface focusing on droplet condensation and analyte detection is fabricated by an environment-friendly, efficient and low-cost machining process for surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) analyses. The micro-scale craters covered with nano-scale terrace-like structures have been prepared by one-step wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM). Meanwhile, wet abilities of hierarchical structures have been investigated after stearic acid modification. Results show that the as-prepared surface exhibits excellent repellent ability to water and oil drops. The resultant superamphiphobic surface also displays a 3-fold higher SERS intensity over hydrophilic Al-Mg alloy substrate. The corresponding SERS signals also show well signal reproducibility. This work sheds positive insights into fabricating accessible and efficient active substrates for SERS detection and extending potential applications of Al-Mg alloys in ultra-trace analysis in the future. AbstractAbstract
[en] The subunit comprising the C11-C21 fragment is one of the important building blocks of epothilones. As an approach to this subunit, Evans oxazolidinone protocol as a key transformation was utilized by White et al.4 Differently Mulzer et al. prepared this subunit from commercially available (2S)-hydroxybutyrolactone and (S)-malic acid, respectively. Previously we reported the synthesis of the C11-C21 fragment using (R)-glycidol and D-glucose as starting materials. Herein we would like to describe our results in the concise and efficient synthesis of the C11-C21 fragments of epothilones A and B. Our synthetic method is appropriate to prepare the derivatives of C11-C21 fragments of epothilones because numerous acrylic acid derivatives are readily available. Our synthetic strategy as shown in the retrosynthetic analysis for the C11-C21 fragment 3 of epothilones suggests the double bond at C12-C13 be constructed from the reductive ring opening of 5,6-dihydropyran-2-one ring in compound 4, which can be prepared utilizing intramolecular ring-closing metathesis (RCM)8 of an intermediate ester from the reaction 5 with 6

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper provides direct evidence to support the role of capping agents in controlling the evolution of TiO2 seeds into nano crystals with a specific shape. Starting with Ti(OBut)4 and using oleid acid, oleylamine, dioleamide, 11-aminoundecanoic acid, arginine, trifluroacetic acid or HF as capping agents, mainly TiO2 truncated octahedrons enclosed by {1 0 1} and {0 0 1} facets were obtained. We could also selectively obtain square, rods and rounded rhombic-shaped nanoparticles by growing of {0 1 0} facets by adding oleic acid and oleylamine in ratio 6:4, respectively, while all other parameters were kept the same. This research not only offers new insights into the role played by a capping agent in shape-controlled synthesis but also provides, a versatile approach to controlling the shape of metal oxide nano crystals.
