AbstractAbstract
[en] We report on the observation of a new isomeric state in 68Ni. We suggest that the newly observed state at 168(1) keV above the first 2+ state is a π(2p-2h) 0+ state across the major Z = 28 shell gap. Comparison with theoretical calculations indicates a pure proton intruder configuration and the deduced low-lying structure of this key nucleus suggests a possible shape coexistence scenario involving a highly deformed state. AbstractAbstract
[en] The microscopic level density calculations for (f,p)-shell nuclei are discussed. It is concluded that the agreement with experimental data can be improved considerably if the underlying single-particle levels are adjusted to their observed positions near the Fermi surface. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Few energy spectra were taken for the 58Ni, 60Ni(α,α')58Ni, 60Ni reactions at 30MeV, using a 180 deg magnetic spectrometer facility associated with solid state 10 cm position sensitive counters. An energy resolution of 15-19 KeV was achieved. The 60Ni structure appears to be much more complicated than for 58Ni. For the high lying states in 58Ni this experiment confirms previous results and interpretation of these states., especially the 6.024MeV level, is still valid

AbstractAbstract
[en] Transmission and capture data from 58Ni were analyzed up to 120 keV and are reported. High-resolution scattering measurements for Fe are discussed, and the determination of the J/sup π/ value for most resonances seen in transmission data up to 400 keV is given, including an attempt at evaluation of the resonances of 56Fe on the basis of recently published data. 4 figures, 3 tables

AbstractAbstract
[en] /sup 61/Ni Moessbauer measurements at 4.2 K have been performed on (Fe/sub x/Ni/sub 1-//sub x/)/sub 77/Si/sub 10/13 amorphous alloys with x = 0.0, 0.1, and 0.9. Ni atoms in Ni/sub 77/Si/sub 10/B/sub 13/ bear no magnetic moment, whereas in (Fe/sub 0.1/Ni/sub 0.9/)/sub 77/Si/sub 10/B13 and (Fe/sub 0.9/Ni/sub 0.1/)/sub 77/Si/sub 10/B13 their moments are, respectively 0.38μ/sub B/ and 0.65μ/sub B/. Our results, together with the literature data, show that Ni atoms in Fe-Ni-M (M denotes a metalloid) amorphous alloys do carry a magnetic moment

AbstractAbstract
[en] Configuration-seniority spectral distributions are used to analyse some properties of Ni62, and the results compared with those of shell model. The goodness of the symplectic symmetry is discussed by investigating the distributions with fixed seniority in every orbit
