AbstractAbstract
[en] A comprehensive discussion of parametric excitation of electrostatic waves in magnetized plasma is given. A general derivation of the dispersion relation is presented. The dispersion relation is analyzed for two cases, that is (a) when the driving frequency is near the resonant frequency of electron modes, and (b) when the driving frequency is near the lower hybrid frequency. Some general remarks and a brief comparison of theory with experiment and computer simulations are given

AbstractAbstract
[en] Nonlinear decay of an electromagnetic wave into lower-hybrid and upper-hybrid wave in a plasma containing two types of ions and two temperature electrons has been analytically investigated. Hydrodynamical model of the plasma is used. Nonlinear dispersion relation and growth rates are calculated for parametric decay, modulational and filamentation instabilities. As an application of the investigation growth rates are calculated for typical parameters of both laboratory and space plasmas. Effect of addition of second species of electrons and ions is discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper we analyse the behavior of area preserving maps and related bifurcations in an accelerator system as a function of the tuning involving orbital and external wave frequencies. It is found out that while sharp tuning leads to nonmonotonic maps, poor tuning leads to monotonic maps. The transition between these two situations and the associated sequences of bifurcations are studied in detail. (author). 8 refs., 2 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] It is shown that the chaotic orbits in the saturated states of nonlinear three-wave coupling can be controlled by applying a small sinusoidal anti-Stokes wave to the system. For a given set of linear frequency mismatch and damping parameters, a desired periodic orbit can be achieved by a suitable choice of the control wave amplitude. This method is illustrated by numerical simulations. (author). 19 refs., 2 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Spectral techniques are applied to the characterization of turbulence on the tokamak TBR-1 confined plasma edge. Based on the experiment performed with electrostatic probes, the density and potential fluctuation statistical properties are analysed, and the particle fluxes caused by the electrostatic fluctuations determined.
