AbstractAbstract
[en] Effect pf rhodium, (5-20%) and palladium (5-25%) contents on heat resistance of binary and ternary platinum alloys has been investigated. Alloy with 5% Rh and 15% Pd is found to have a maximum heat resistance and endure to failure more than 3000 thermal cycles at 1350 yields reversilble 1400 deg C. Alloying element amounts being increased the heat resistance of the alloys under study falls

AbstractAbstract
[en] The method of stationary voltametry has been applied to investigate electrode polarization of platinum an its alloys with Hf, Y, Zr in borosilicate molten glass. An estimation is made of the influence of dissolved water on rates of electrode processes. A more accurate mechanism of electrode processes is proposed that describes well available experimental data

AbstractAbstract
[en] Ordering and surface segregation in the Pt96Co4 alloys have been studied at 80 K, 300 K and 620 K with the Field Ion Mass Spectrometry (FIMS) method. At temperatures below the critical temperature of 600 K there is ordering in the bulk with an enhanced copper concentration every fourth plane in the 100 direction. With regard to surface depth profiles several theoretical models are available and can be tested against the experiment. In the present case all theoretical predictions agree qualitatively with the measurements. To arrive at a quantitative agreement two fit parameters - the surface relaxation parameter and the solution parameter - must be used. 84 refs., 23 figs., 5 tabs. (qui)

[en] The phase Ptsub(1+)In crystallizes in the CuAl.r type. The relation of this type of the NiAs structure is discussed. The two-correlations model affords a low energy binding for all phases of the mixture Pt-In. (Auth.)

[en] Adding small amounts of boron to PtY 0.08 leads to higher creep rupture strength and creep strength at elevated temperatures and reduced grain growth. The rate of inner oxidation has been found to be increased. The formability by cold or hot rolling is not effected
