AbstractAbstract
[en] We consider the transformations of quantum states obtainable by a process of the following sort. Combine the given input state with a specially prepared initial state of an auxiliary system. Apply a unitary transformation to the combined system. Measure the state of the auxiliary subsystem. If (and only if) it is in a specified final state, consider the process successful, and take the resulting state of the original (principal) system as the result of the process. We review known information about exact realization of transformations by such a process. Then we present results about approximate realization of finite partial transformations. We not only consider primarily the issue of approximation to within a specified positive ε, but also address the question of arbitrarily close approximation

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper, the dynamic output feedback control problem of discrete-time singularly perturbed systems is considered based on the reduced-order technique. We first show that a proper but not strictly proper dynamic output feedback controller designed for the reduced-order model generally is not a stabilizing compensator for the original system, even though the fast subsystem is stable. To obtain the robustness of the dynamic output feedback controller, an auxiliary system is designed. Based on this, the design of the dynamic output feedback for the reduced-order subsystem is reduced to the simultaneous design of a static output feedback controller for the fast subsystem and a strictly proper dynamic output feedback controller for the auxiliary system, respectively. Based on the obtained results, we confirm that it is possible to generate the robustness for the proposed dynamic output feedback control. Thus, the restriction on the strict properness can be alleviated. Finally, a realistic practical example for the nuclear reactor model is provided to show the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results.

AbstractAbstract
[en] With three operating fluorescence detector buildings and the last one under construction, data taking has become a routine job at the Pierre Auger Observatory. I will give an overview of the data taking procedure, including the operation of auxiliary systems for calibration and atmospheric monitoring. The analysis of the events during and after each measurement night is of paramount importance to assure the quality of the data and to monitor the detector behavior. Several analysis methods will be described

AbstractAbstract
[en] Based on the member bars of one end fixed and one end free, it is a new method to study the relationship between the two ends of the curved beam by using the principle of virtual work and the balance equation. By analyzing the plastic hinge and the plastic region model of the curved beam, the transfer relation of the plastic hinge and the plastic region model is deduced by using the transfer matrix method of auxiliary system. Compared with the traditional initial parameter method, the transfer matrix method is more accurate and the calculation program is simpler. The results show that the transfer matrix method is correct and effective, and it can simulate the failure process of elastoplastic better and can be used for the initial design and final check-up of the curved bridge structures. AbstractAbstract
[en] Quantum-state tomography (QST) is a fundamental task for reconstructing unknown quantum state from statistics of measurements. We propose a qudit-state tomography based on unambiguous discrimination (UD) of d linearly independent pure states. We then prove that our proposal for QST provides a minimal set of measurements. Our proposal can be used in any finite dimension, and our strategy can be realized by a projective measurement on a system combined with a d-dimensional auxiliary system. In addition, we present another method to improve previously known UD QST of pure quantum state.

AbstractAbstract
[en] In probabilistic cloning with two auxiliary systems, we consider and compare three different protocols for the success probabilities of cloning. We show that, in certain circumstances, it may increase the success probability to add an auxiliary system to the probabilistic cloning machine having one auxiliary system, but we always can find another cloning machine with one auxiliary system having the same success probability as that with two auxiliary systems

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper we report for the first time on the binary generalized synchronization, when for the certain values of the coupling strength two unidirectionally coupled dynamical systems generating the aperiodic binary sequences are in the generalized synchronization regime. The presence of the binary generalized synchronization has been revealed with the help of both the auxiliary system approach and the largest conditional Lyapunov exponent calculation. The mechanism resulting in the binary generalized synchronization has been explained. The finding discussed in this paper gives a strong potential for new applications under many relevant circumstances.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The role in the development of nuclear power played by auxiliary equipment in ensuring the reliability and, in particular, the safety of nuclear power plants is growing significantly. Firstly, auxiliary equipment at nuclear power plants is increasing quantitatively by comparison with that at conventional plants; secondly, it fulfils a new function, namely, ensuring the radiation protection of nuclear power plants, since it is the main equipment of the special water purification systems and safety systems of such plants. International experience of nuclear power plant operation shows that the auxiliary equipment has a significant effect on the reliability and safety of these plants. In view of this, the auxiliary equipment has to be more reliable and, in particular, it is necessary to make a more careful quantitative analysis of the reliability indices for auxiliary equipment during its design and operation.
