[en] In this paper, a folded diagram method for deriving an energy-independent nucleon-nucleon (N-N) potential from meson exchanges is proposed. The potential obtained by this method contains not only the irreducible diagrams but also the mesonic folded diagrams. And it is proved that all stretched diagrams are not contained in this potential

AbstractAbstract
[en] The experimental and theoretical study of pp → pp π"0 has excited considerable attention, ever since the total cross section measurements were found to be more than five times larger than the then existing theoretical predictions. Advances in technologies led to complete identification of the three body final state and to measurements employing polarized beam on a polarized target. Many of the early theoretical attempts tried to bridge the gap by introducing several mechanisms taking into account only the lowest partial waves. The Julich meson exchange model which took into consideration higher partial waves as well was however found to be inadequate to provide an overall satisfactory reproduction of the data on p-barp-bar → ppπ"0. The purpose of the present contribution is to take into account Sd and Ds channels in pp → ppπ"0 improve the discussion and correlate the resulting pp → p Δ"+p and pp →ppπ"0 amplitudes, so that the importance of Δ contributions can be studied in more detail using the model independent approach

AbstractAbstract
[en] Level structure of even-even nuclei having N=88 has been studied using IBM and taking into consideration the B-band levels. Negative parity yrast bands in 152Gd and 150Sm are found to have a nearly constant degree of alignment. Backbending in 154Dy and 156Er is used to obtain the yrast moment of inertia for both the ground state band and the super band

AbstractAbstract
[en] Our topic at this Round Table is the connection between the particle physics (quark model) and nuclear physics (potential model) approaches to baryonium. This question is part of a larger problem which arises in a variety of contexts in strong interaction physics: how does one reconcile the success of meson (and baryon) exchange models for many low energy hadron-hadron scattering processes with the structure of the underlying quark model. This general problem is discussed, using as examples: (1) baryon-baryon (BB) and baryon-nucleus (specifically N, Λ, Σ, and XI) interactions; and (2) baryon-antibaryon (B anti B) systems and their coupling to diquark-antidiquark (Q2 anti Q2) complexes; and (3) interactions of antinucleons with nuclei

AbstractAbstract
[en] A nucleon-nucleon potentiel is constructed which possesses a fundamental theoretical long and medium range part. The short range part is determined phenomenologically by fitting the phase parameters as well as the deuteron properties. Although the number of free parameters is small (six in each isospin state) the quality of the fit is very good
