AbstractAbstract
[en] Total cross section for the 13C + 13C reaction has been determined over the range Esub(c.m.) = 4.00 - 15.5 MeV. The γ-ray yields are used to determine the cross sections for the formation of residual nuclei. Excitation functions reveal no evidence for intermediate structures or narrow resonances in this reaction. The results are in good agreement with predictions from a statistical model, calculation as coded in the computer program CASCADE

AbstractAbstract
[en] Coincidence measurements have been made of both the electromagnetic and particle decays of the lowest T = 3/2 levels in 13C and 13N. Proton decays of 13N(T = 3/2) to negative parity levels in 12C at 9.64 and 10.84 MeV have been discovered using the 11B(3He,np)12C reaction. The branching ratios for these d- or s-wave decays were found. Measurements of the α decays of the mirror T = 3/2 level in 13C have shown that less than 14 percent of the width of the 13C-(T = 3/2) level is accounted for by α decay to narrow states in 9Be. A careful comparison of the γ-ray transition strengths from the lowest T = 3/2 levels in 13C and 13N was made . The relative transition strength for the M1 decays to the 1/2- ground state and 3/2- second excited state was found. to be the same in 13C and 13N with a precision of +- 6.5 percent. The absolute γ-ray transition strengths in 13C and 13N have also been compared . The reduced E1 transition-strength to the 1/2+ first excited state was found.Upper limits of (5 - 10) x 10-5 W.u. for several ΔT = 2E1 transitions from the two lowest T = 2 levels in 20Ne. were obtained The 19F(3He, d γ)20Ne reaction has been used in combination with previous measurements to infer a value for the radioactive width of 2+, T = 2 level in 20Ne. The 19F(3He, dγ)20Ne reaction has also been used to provide the first measurement of the γ-decay schemes for three levels in 20Ne

AbstractAbstract
[en] Inclusion of 1% and 8.4% of the 2s and 2p configuration mixings in the Cohen-Kurath wave functions has been considered to reproduce the experimental results for the electron scattering from 13C leading to the final states 13 C(g.s.;1/2-,1/2) and 13C(15.11 MeV;3/2-,3/2). Effects of the meson-exchange currents have also been investigated microscopically on the basis of the Cohen-Kurath wave functions, and we have shown that they are important in the large momentum transfer regions.
