AbstractAbstract
[en] The theoretical treatment of controlled-potential coulometric method in the presence of kinetic effects has been investigated in the case of amalgamation electrode reactions. It showed that kinetic studies of these reactions can be undertaken by this technique even for elements at tracer scale concentrations (Radiocoulometry) using radioactive tracer

AbstractAbstract
[en] (E)-5-(2-Iodovinyl)-2'-deoxyuridine (IVDU) and (E)-5-(2-iodovinyl)-2'-fluoro-2'-deoxyuridine (IVFRU) are potential substrates of Herpes Simplex Virus type 1thymidine kinase (HSV-TK). In the present study, cellular uptake of radioiodinated substrates was found to be low in wild type MCA cells, but high in HSV-TK gene expressing cells. The carrier-free substrates, in particular, showed higher cellular uptake than carrier-added compounds. Biodistribution showed that the %ID/g of the MCA-TK/MCA tumor ratio of IVDU injected at 1, 4, and 24 h were 1.1, 0.9 and 1.3, and those of IVFRU were 1.7, 1.7 and 1.8 respectively. Therefore, both IVDU and IVFRU could possibly be used as radiopharmaceuticals to evaluate reporter gene expression. However, IVFRU was more specific and stable than IVDU for selective non-invasive imaging of HSV-TK expression

AbstractAbstract
[en] Using a special type of on line electromigration measurements of γ-emitting radionuclides in homogeneous electrolytes free of supporting materials the hydrolysis and the complex formations of carrier-free 249Cf-Cf(III) with oxalate in diluted perchlorate electrolytes, T = 2.98.1(1) K, were studied. Stoichiometric hydrolysis constants of pβ3 18.6(9) and pK1 = 6.2(2) were calculated in μ = 0.10 electrolytes. For the formation of anionic hydrolysis products a limitation of pK4 ≥ 13.9(3) was derived. The stoichiometric stability constants of the oxalato complexes are lgK1 4.80(8) and lgK2 = 3.55(11), μ = 0.01. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Data showing great opportunities of the extraction chromatography method for ion separation of almost all metals and nonmetals are reviewed. Radiochemical separation and carrier-free radioisotope obtaining parent and daughter isotope separation are considered. Discussed is element separation of similar chemical properties-separation of alkali and alkaline earth elements, sub-group B elements of the first and second groups, aluminium subgroup elements, subgroup B of the fourth group, chromium subgroup elements, iron group elements, noble metals, halides
