AbstractAbstract
[en] The CEA is tasked with carrying out certain research activities: within the Military Applications Division (DAM), research is focused on the nuclear deterrence and, within the Nuclear Energy Division, on developing the industrial nuclear systems of the future and optimising existing nuclear systems in partnership with EDF and AREVA. These major research and development themes entail a need for nuclear research and support facilities which must be maintained at a high level of performance and safety and, also, constantly upgraded to handle the research activities and programmes for which they are used. The CEA strategy is based on the right packaging of the radioactive liquid or solid waste into a form required for its transport, storage or disposal. The Caraibes software allows an efficient traceability of the waste packages. Most of the radioactive effluent processing stations of CEA are being upgraded

AbstractAbstract
[en] The safety assessments of CEA's facilities was made in 2 steps. The first step that was performed end 2011 involved facilities that had priority according to the French Safety Authority among them the Jules Horowitz reactor being built in Cadarache, the Masurca reactor (being upgraded in Cadarache), the Plutonium workshop (being dismantled in Cadarache), the Osiris reactor (that operates in Saclay) and the Phenix reactor (decommissioned at Marcoule). The second step was performed in 2012. The main conclusion is the setting of a hard core of measures concerning equipment and organization that is able to sustain the vital functions of each facility in any accidental situation. Another consequence is the reinforcement of the emergency means (equipment and organization) in the Cadarache site. (A.C.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Data on composition, structure and scientific trends of main nuclear centers in Great Britain, France, FRG are systematized. Main tendencies for development of prior trends in atomic acience nucleonics are detected and national peculiarities of nuclear programs developed are determined as result of analysis of research and development works, budget allocations and staff of nuclear center

AbstractAbstract
[en] All piloting data of chemical processing plants are based on the results of analysis. The first part of this article describes a system of analysers adapted to the needs of the Pierrelatte plant, with management of signals collected by the factory computer. Part two shows the influence of analytical development in the establishment of material balance sheets for the Marcoule spent fuel processing plant. Part three stresses the contribution of the automation of analytical test processes at the La Hague spent fuel processing plant. In all three cases the progress in analytical methods greatly improves the safety, reliability and response time of the various operations
