[en] Since 1996, gaining the approval of Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology (VINANST) has been successfully co-organized by Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (VINATOM) and Vietnam Atomic Energy Society (VAES). As a biennial event, the conference aims to bring together Vietnamese scientists as well as foreign specialists for the exchange of information on the latest research findings and applications in the field of nuclear science and technology, and hence, to foster research and business partnerships among the Institutes, universities and the industry. In addition, VINANST is considered to provide an ideal opportunity for young researchers to approach great sources of specialized knowledge and a range of competencies and skills in their particular disciplines. Following the success of VINANST-12, the conference VINANST-13 has taken place in Halong Bay, a World Heritage site in Vietnam on 7-9 August 2019 in close collaboration between VINATOM and Quang Ninh Department of Science and Technology. As usual, the event held attention for domestic and international experts, scientists, senior managers, researchers, especially representatives from IAEA and its Member States with developed nuclear science and technology.
[en] This is the fourteenth annual report being published by the Secretariat of the International Atomic Energy Agency since implementing its database on package approval certificates (PACKTRAM) at the recommendation of the Transport Safety Standards Committee (TRANSSC). It supersedes IAEA-TECDOC-1302 'Directory of National Competent Authorities' Approval Certificates for Package Design, Special Form Material and Shipment of Radioactive Material, 2002 Edition'. Through the database, the Secretariat collects administrative and technical information provided by the issuing competent authority about package approval certificates. Such data are used mainly by national competent authorities and port and customs officials to assist in regulating radioactive material movements in their country, and also by manufacturers and shippers of radioactive material. The database carries information on extant certificates and those that expired within the last complete calendar year. The PACKTRAM database only contains information that has been provided to the IAEA. The data are not complete nor guaranteed to be accurate. If detailed information is required, the original package approval certificates must be consulted. If information is required about package approval certificates that are not contained in the database, the issuing competent authority must be consulted

[en] The results of the research of existent routing protocols in wireless networks and their main features are discussed in the paper. Basing on the protocol data, the routing protocols in wireless networks, including search routing algorithms and phone directory exchange algorithms, are designed with the ‘WiFi-Direct’ technology. Algorithms without IP-protocol were designed, and that enabled one to increase the efficiency of the algorithms while working only with the MAC-addresses of the devices. The developed algorithms are expected to be used in the mobile software engineering with the Android platform taken as base. Easier algorithms and formats of the well-known route protocols, rejection of the IP-protocols enables to use the developed protocols on more primitive mobile devices. Implementation of the protocols to the engineering industry enables to create data transmission networks among working places and mobile robots without any access points. (paper)
