AbstractAbstract
[en] The weight minimization of rotationally symmetric plates is subjected to dynamic loads of short duration. Constraints concerning plate thickness and occuring stresses are taken into account. The maximum stress values in time are evaluated by an effective method using finite elements, orthogonal Ritz-vectors and Newmark-integration. For one particular dynamic load condition the theoretical and experimental results are compared. The measurements are in good agreement with the results of calculation. (orig./DG)

Das Gewicht instationaer belasteter, rotationssymmetrischer Platten wird unter Beachtung von Restriktionen bezueglich einer minimalen Wanddicke und einer nicht zu ueberschreitenden maximalen Vergleichspannung minimiert. Fuer die hierzu haeufig durchzufuehrende Schwingungsanalyse wird ein effizientes Verfahren mit Finiten Elementen, orthogonalen Ritzvektoren und der Zeitintegration nach NEWMARK verwendet. Die Guete der erhaltenen Ergebnisse wird anhand von Vergleichen mit experimentellen Untersuchungen fuer einen Belastungsfall aufgezeigt. (orig./DG)Original Title

[en] In the temperature range from room temperature to 973 K and the mechanical loading range from 0.1 to 3 MPa, a Li2TiO3 pebble bed was successively loaded and the packing behaviour of the bed was observed. Deformation caused by the mechanical loading is partly relaxed when the bed is heated without the load. After a large numbers of thermal and mechanical loading cycles, the packing factor of the bed increased from the initial packing factor of 66.9% to finally about 68.5%. This progressive increase in packing leads to production of a cavity region at the top of the pebble bed, therefore it is important to obtain a high initial packing factor.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The procedure and the typical techniques that are used in NUCLEN for the design and the calculation of the piping of Nuclear Plants. The classification system are generically described and the analysis techniques which are used for the design and verification of the piping systems, i.e. pressure design for the dimensioning of the wallthicknesses, temperature and dead weight analysis together with determination of support points, are shown. The techniques of dynamic design and analyses are described for earthquake and pressure impulse loadings. (Author)

Mostra-se atraves de uma descricao generica os procedimentos e as tecnicas mais tipicas que sao usadas pela NUCLEN para o projeto e calculo de tubulacoes de Usinas Nucleares. O trabalho descreve o sistema de classificacao e mostra as tecnicas de analise que sao usados para o projeto e verificacao dos sistemas de tubulacao, i.e.. Pressao de projeto para o dimensionamento da espessura da parede, analise de temperatura e peso proprio, juntamente com a determinacao dos pontos de suporte. AbstractAbstract
[en] For investigating the damaging mechanism, bithermal TMF tests have been carried out with the alloy 800H, applying fast pressure half-cycles at low temperature (e.g. 300 C) and slow tensile phases at high temperature (e.g. 700 C). The experimental data thus obtained have been compared with the results of isothermal tests performed at 700 C. Most of the experiments have been performed stress-controlled and with a constant range of plastic strain. Under this regime, deformation is induced in the case of asymmetric test design within the tensile load phase, at various constant tensile stresses each, wheras in the compressive load phase, the stress is constantly increased for compressive stress-governed testing. The results obtained from both test types show that the type of compressive load phase is the factor governing the efficiency of pore formation. (orig.)

Fuer eine Untersuchung des Schaedigungsmechanismus wurden mit der Legierung 800H bithermische Versuche (TMF=thermomechanical fatigue) mit schnellen Druckhalbzyklen bei niedrigen Temperaturen (z.B. 300 C) und langsamen Zugphasen bei hoher Temperatur (z.B. 700 ) durchgefuehrt und die Ergebnisse mit denen isothermer Versuche bei 700 verglichen. Die meisten Experimente waren spannungskontrolliert und die plastische Drehschwingbreite wurde kontant gehalten. Bei dieser Regelungsart wird im Falle einer asymmetrischen Versuchsfuehrung innerhalb der Zugphase jeweils mit einer konstanten Zugspannung verformt, wohingegen in der Druckphase die Spannung staendig erhoeht wird und auf diese Weise groessere Druckspannungen erreicht werden. Die gewonnenen Ergebnisse machen deutlich, dass die Art der Druckphase die Effizienz der Porenkeimbildung bestimmt. (orig.)Original Title

Formulas are presented for the equivalence factors used in converting the actual variable loading conditions to conventional constant conditions. The overload coefficients required in calculating the static strength of drive components at the peak load are also determined.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Closed form solutions have been obtained using Fourier transform method for the deflection, curvature and particle velocity of a long elastic beam when it is subjected to a concentrated transverse force which is varying with time. These solutions have been illustrated with the help of two force histories, i.e. a half-sine pulse and a rectangular pulse. Dimensionless parameters representing deflection, curvature and particle velocity have been plotted as functions of dimensionless distance and dimensionless time. Furthermore, the particular case of constant velocity impact which has been studied by other authors using different techniques has also been considered in the present paper and the results compare within numerical errors involved in the evaluation of integrals. Mit Hilfe von Fourier-Transformationen werden geschlossene Loesungen fuer die Durchbiegung, die Kruemmung und die Geschwindigkeit der Punkte auf der Achse langer Balken, die durch eine zeitabhaengige vertikale Einzelkraft belastet werden, erhalten. Die Loesungen werden anhand eines halben Sinusstosses und eines Rechteckstosses illustriert. Die Durchbiegung, Kruemmung und Geschwindigkeit werden in dimensionsloser Form als Funktionen der dimensionslosen Laengskoordinate und Zeit dargestellt. Darueber hinaus wird der Sonderfall konstanter Stossgeschwindigkeit, der von anderen Autoren mit anderen Methoden untersucht wurde, betrachtet: Abgesehen von Abweichungen durch die numerische Loesung auftretender Integrale stimmen die Ergebnisse ueberein. [en] In this paper it is presented a variational method for the limit analysis of an ideal plastic solid. This method has been denominated as Modified Secundary Creep and enables to find the collapse loads through a minimization of a functional and a limit process. Given an ideal plastic material it is shown how to determinate the associated secundary creep constitutive equation. Finally, as an application, it is found the limit load in an pressurized von Mises rigid plastic sphere. (Author)
