AbstractAbstract
[en] The γ decay of the first two positive parity states in 45Ti was reexamined using single γ-ray, γ-γ coincidence and n-γ coincidence techniques. E1 transition strengths down to 10-7 Weisskopf units were deduced from the experimental data, which is 30 times lower than the weakest E1 transition known in the other nuclei of the mass region 40< A<50

AbstractAbstract
[en] A simple estimate, based on the quark model, is made of the effect of the odd parity baryon resonances N( and Δ( on the vector dipole excitations in the nucleus. Although the coupling between the nuclear and baryon L = 1 degrees of freedom seems to be much more relevant for the vector dipole fields than for the corresponding axial-vector ones, it still represents a minor effect

AbstractAbstract
[en] The europium doped yttrium oxybromide phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction method. The YOBr:Eu3+ phosphor showed a strong and narrow red emission band at 621 nm and maximum emission intensity obtained when 0.05 mol Eu ions were doped. The emission of Eu3+ originated from 5D0 → 7F2 electric dipole transition. In order to investigate on photoluminescence behavior, several experimental skills and numerical fittings are conducted to the YOBr:Eu3+ phosphor. The emission spectrum was measured in the UV range and then decay curve of 5D0 → 7Fj transitions was examined. The energy interaction type of YOBr:Eu3+ phosphor was dipole-dipole interaction. In addition to the calculating by critical concentration, the critical distance (R0) was calculated by decay curve fitting parameter from Inokuti-Hirayamas equation, and spectral overlap method. The critical distance was 17.03, 10.51 and 7.18 A for those methods, respectively. As considering systematic error of measurements, these values are within the same order, so that the above fitting methods are plausible and recommendable

AbstractAbstract
[en] Electric dipole transition oscillator strengths have been computed for low-lying transitions in the Yb+ isoelectronic sequence (through Ra19+) in fully relativistic and non-relativistic-limit approximations. Relativistic effects were carefully investigated and efforts were undertaken to establish systematic trends in relativistic contributions to oscillator strengths along the Yb+ isoelectronic sequence. AbstractAbstract
[en] A hybrid entangling gate is proposed by using the coherent interaction between dipolar molecules and a photonic crystal microcavity, which is effected by virtual electric dipole transitions. Noise is included in the present model and high feasibility of the scheme with current experimental conditions is shown. (general)

AbstractAbstract
[en] We describe the application of the collective vector method to the evaluation of the moments of atomic transition arrays. We use these moments with the Lanczos algorithm to obtain a Stieltjes δ-function representation of the array. As an example the procedure is applied to a test array containing over 5000 lines in the exact spectrum and is seen to give a good representation of the array with only moderate computational requirements. In comparison the more familiar Gram-Charlier expansion leads to uninterpretable negative excursions making it unusable except for completely unresolved transition arrays
