[en] The system described is for the electron bombardment welding of cylindrical coaxial placed end to end. It includes in combination a carrier trolley for a gun firing a beam of electrons which hits the surface of the shells at their point of junction, a system to propel the trolley, an adjustable device to position the trolley against a bench mark scored on the surface of at least one of the rings, a containment applied against the rings on both sides of their point of junction and marking with them a sealed vacuum chamber containing the trolley. The movement of the rings is of an amplitude equal to and a sign velocity opposed to that of the trolley so that the trolley remains immobile in space in a given position so that the electron beam provided is permanently vertical

On presente un dispositif de soudage par bombardement electronique de viroles cylindriques coaxiales placees bout a bout. Il comporte en combinaison un chariot de support pour un canon fournissant un faisceau d'electrons venant frapper la surface des viroles selon leur ligne de jonction, des moyens d'entrainement relatif du chariot, un organe de positionnement reglable du chariot par rapport a un repere porte par la surface d'au moins une des viroles, une enceinte appliquee contre les viroles de part et d'autre de leur ligne de jonction et delimitant avec celles-ci une chambre etanche placee sous vide et contenant le chariot. [en] A survey of the latest research and development work is presented. It deals firstly with the building of equipment and secondly with the use of this welding process in various industrial manufactures. The equipment described relates chiefly to high-power welding units and to the latest generation of local-vacuum welding machines with associated automation. The industrial applications illustrate the different stages leading to the adoption of this technique in manufacturing processes: metallurgical and operational weldability study; definition of the geometry of assemblies; study of the production range; homologation of the process; implementation of the manufacture within the framework of a quality guarantee organisation; evaluation of a mass production. Examples of manufacture in the nuclear field are given

Une presentation des dernieres etudes et developpements est effectuee. Elle porte d'une part sur la realisation d'equipements et d'autre part, sur la mise en oeuvre de ce procede de soudage dans diverses fabrications a caractere industriel. Les moyens decrits concernent particulierement les installations de soudage de forte puissance et la derniere generation de machine de soudage a vide local avec automatisme associe. Les applications industrielles decrites illustrent les differentes etapes conduisant a retenir ce procede dans les fabrications: etude de soudabilite metallurgique et operatoire; definition de la geometrie des assemblages; etude de la gamme de fabrication; mise au point de specifications de controle; homologation du procede; realisation de la fabrication dans le cadre d'une organisation d'assurance qualite; bilan d'un fabrication de serie.
