AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper presents a complete two temperatures model for compressible plasma flows. This study distinguishes from the previous because plasma properties are clearly exposed and used for LTE as well as for NLTE, and some limiting assumptions are not used. In addition, a RSM model is used for turbulence and it has never been employed before for such complex plasma flows. It reveals that the thermal non-equilibrium is inversely proportional to the background pressure, and there is a point in the jet fringes where LTE is always reached whatever the background pressure. AbstractAbstract
[en] The power variation of gliding arc driven by the magnetic field with the highest value 6040Gs in the parallel electrodes 25mm apart with 40mm length is discussed. The phase of gliding arc plasma is also analyzed. When arc moves on the parallel part of electrodes, the arc power is drastically fluctuated at 0.65kW. When arc is moving to the top of electrodes, the arc power increases rapidly from 0.65kW to 2.0kW. In generally, the arc power increases in one cycle of arc discharge and the arc plasma continuously obtains energy from power supply to maintain the equilibrium phase of arc plasma. According to the theory of Ozlem Mutaf-Yardimici, the phase of the gliding arc plasma is in equilibrium. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In the Vlasov-Maxwell theory we prove that there are homogeneous equilibria that are monotone decreasing in every direction and are arbitrarily close to a Maxwellian. They are unstable under certain electromagnetic perturbations, but are stable under purely electric perturbations as well as under electromagnetic perturbations of sufficiently short period. These statements are valid both in the linear and nonlinear senses. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this work we consider plasma conditions in which the populations are non-LTE (thermal equilibrium) and must be calculated from rate equations but are still near LTE, so a perturbation method can be used to obtain a simplified description of atomic dynamics. Atomic rate equations are linear first-order differential equations for a vector of atomic populations Nj. The general properties of these equations only depend on the fact that the rates conserve ions. These equations describe ions in a specified environment and neglect flow or other sources of ions and also neglect changes in some parameters (electron density, temperature conditions or radiation spectrum) produced by the atomic kinetics. In this brief paper we indicate the general results

AbstractAbstract
[en] We study some aspects of the equilibrium statistical mechanics of a classical two-dimensional one-component Coulomb plasma (the interaction is logarithmic). The free energy is calculated exactly, for one special value of the temperature. At low temperature, the particles form a triangular lattice, which is stable; its vibration modes are well-behaved longitudinal plasmons and transverse phonons. The self-consistent harmonic approximation is studied; it has a solution for the transverse sound velocity at low temperature only, a strong indication that the solid phase is unstable at high temperature. The free energies obtained in different ways are compared. It is very likely that the model has a solid-fluid phase transition
