AbstractAbstract
[en] The hexagonal fuel element cluster has rod-shaped fuel elements each of which has three each spirally rolled fins, 120 degrees apart. Always six out of the fuel elements form a ring around a central fuel element. In order to improve the support of the peripheral elements, their number of fins is doubled with respect to the number of fins of the ring elements or their pitch is reduced to 2/3. (DG)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The spacer consists of grid plates intersecting and interlocking in the form of a gridiron. They form a multitude of fuel element cells arranged in each case around a central guide tube cell. The grid plates enclose the guide tube cells on all four sides by being designed as curved, saddle-shaped surfaces. Into each fuel element cell there extend elastic as well as rigid projections from all four sides in order to hold the fuel assembly. The rigid and elastic projections lie in three different planes, the elastic projections pressing the fuel assembly against the rigid projections. (DG)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The proposition deals with the fixing of nuclear fuel element rods in a grid which consists of a number of crossed Zy-plates which form cells. The rectangular cells have projections which serve as spacers for the fuel rods. According to the invention there are additional butt straps which can be moved in such a way that insertion and extraction of the fuel rods can be done without obstruction and they can be spring-loaded hold in their final position. AbstractAbstract
[en] The aim of the invention is to suggest a fuel assembly for a nuclear reactor comprising a bundle of parallel fuel rods the spacing of which is maintained by cross struts in relation to the fuel rods and assembly support tubes taking the place of some fuel rods. These support tubes are longer than the fuel rods and are secured at each end to a plate giving the fuel assembly rigidity. This assembly must be easily taken apart for the recovery of certain fuel rods or changing defecting fuel rods in the assembly

AbstractAbstract
[en] This invention relates to grids for nuclear fuel assemblies with the object of providing an improved grid, tending to have greater strength and tending to offer better location of the fuel pins. It comprises sets of generally parallel strips arranged to intersect to define a structure of cellular form, at least some of the intersections including a strip which is keyed to another strip at more than one point. One type of strip may be dimpled along its length and another type of strip may have slots for keying with the dimples. (Auth.)
