AbstractAbstract
[en] In addition to the published literature for the years 1978 - 79, this review of developments in the field of gas chromatography includes earlier articles of particular significance appearing in foreign journals and the patent literature which was not available at the time of the previous review. The articles cited were selected as presenting the most fundamental developments in theory, methodology, and instrumentation. Some applications are cited if they reflect an advance in the state-of-the-art or have particular relevance to new developments. 1149 references are cited

AbstractAbstract
[en] The objective of this study was to determine the presence of 14 OCPs (HCH (α, β, γ, δ), aldrin, α-endosulfan, dieldrin, p,p'-DDE, endrin, β-endosulfan, p-p'-DDD, p-p'-DDT, endosulfan sulfate, endrin aldehyde) and radionuclides (Ra226, Th232, K40, Co60, Cs134, and Cs137) in soil and sediment samples collected from Kura-Aras river systems of the Azerbaijan. The Pearson's r, correlation coefficient was calculated between OCP and Radionuclides. As it turned out, relatively good correlation is observed (0.73 in soils and 0.94 in sediments) between OCP and Cs137 in the investigated samples

AbstractAbstract
[en] Hydrogen gas was used in the enrichment. Molecular sieve 4A was found to be the most suitable adsorbent. The chosen adsorption temperature is approximately 630K. The column is cooled down and filled with helium to operating pressure (approximately 150 mm Hg). The system should be capable to give 100-fold enrichment, starting from some 100 litres of hydrogen (5 to 10 moles) within 3 hours and a tritium recovery near unity

AbstractAbstract
[en] A sensitive and reproducible method was developed for determination of μg l-1 levels pf methylamines in marine samples. The compounds are preconcentrated from water or pore-water samples by microdiffusion, then determined by gas chromatography on a packed column of untreated Chromosorb 103 (60-80 mesh), using a nitrogen-phosphorus-selective detector.
