AbstractAbstract
[en] The HFB formalism described in Chap. 1 is central to the work presented in this manuscript. In this section, we present an algorithm that implements this formalism and that was used to obtain the results discussed throughout the manuscript

AbstractAbstract
[en] Properties of the 1S0 superfluid phase are studied for symmetric nuclear matter at finite temperature. It is described within a covariant hadronic field model, of the σ–ω type, with addition of density dependent correlations simulating effects due to finite extension of nucleons. The model is solved in a self-consistent Hartree–Bogoliubov approach, assuming instantaneous interactions in the superfluid phase. A comparison with the results obtained from several hadronic field models is made. Main characteristics of our description of the superfluid gap are in qualitative agreement with some studies using microscopic potentials, although further refinements could improve its performance. AbstractAbstract
[en] The problem of how to compute accurately and efficiently the sign of the overlap between two general Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) wave functions is addressed. The results obtained can easily be extrapolated to the evaluation of the sign of the trace of a density operator exponential of one body operators

AbstractAbstract
[en] A systematic structural investigation of superheavy No(Z=102) isotopes (N=146-162) has been carried out in the Relativistic-Hartree-Bogoliubov (RHB) formalism using density dependent zero and finite range NN interactions. Constrained calculations are done within the axial and triaxial symmetry consideration to obtain the Potential Energy surfaces (PES). PES of No isotopes under study are showing the γ soft nature. Prolate shapes (β2 = 0.2-0.3) have been found for all the nuclei in the isotopic chain supporting the earlier study while spherical behavior is well known fact in this mass region. Therefore, it is very interesting to study the behavior of these nuclei. Other bulk ground state properties is studied as well as for better understanding of structure contour plot of density for some selected isotopes will be presented. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] We have studied the behavior of Cooper pairs in r-space using realistic HFB calculations with the D1S Gogny force. In [1] we had already found that the size of the Cooper pairs is, for all nuclei studied, systematically large in the interior but surprisingly small in the surface (2-3 fm), in any case much smaller, ie by about a factor of two, than one gets as smallest value in infinite matter. It can be suspected that the two neutrons in the surface of a nucleus become almost or even really bound. We are presently analysing this and preliminary results show that the gap at the surface is very large. We will present further results at the conference. This sheds a fully new light on how pairing correlations are distributed over the nucleus.(author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Some details on the cranking model and its application to the interpretation of the band structures of the doubly odd nucleus 134Pr are presented. The cranking Hamiltonian without pairing correlations is derived and rotations around and perpendicular to the symmetry axis are emphasized. The introduction of the pairing correlations, the Hartree- Fock-Bogolyubov are discussed. The information provided by the transformation to the intrinsic system is presented. The knowledge of the correct single-particle spectra for analyzing the high-spin phenomena is shown to be important, the Nilsson model with axial asymmetry is described. As an illustrative application of the cranking model, the band structure of the doubly odd nucleus 134Pr is discussed.(authors)
