AbstractAbstract
[en] An intuitive description is given of a phenomenological model for the formation of Cooper pairs in cuprate superconductors. In this model, coupling is mediated by large lattice strains connected to anharmonic oscillations along c of the apical ions. A pair binding energy of the order of several hundred kelvin was obtained. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Some aspects of High-Tc superconductivity (HTSC), witch may be successfully applied to the detection of particles and radiation are discussed. The perspectives of creation of radically new type detectors of particles and radiation, based on HTSC materials are considered. Capabilities of these detectors are evaluated and real directions of further essential improvement of their parameters are suggested. 17 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] High-resolution angle resolved photoemission measurements were preformed on single crystals of Bi2Sr2Ca1Cu2O8+δ with different oxygen stoichiometries. The data establish that the gap anisotropy (ration of the gap along Γ-M to the gap along Γ-X) can be reversibly changed from ∝ 20:1 (optimal or underdoped) ∝ 2:1 (overdoped). Differences in sample doping explain the conflicting reports in gap anisotropy in the literature. Possible effects if this change in gap anisotropy on the symmetry of the order parameter are discussed. There remains some ambiguity as to the relation between the order parameter and doping. 21 refs., 3 tabs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Superconductivity is the flow of current free of loss. The application spectrum of this technology is enormous. This technology is already in use in research and in the medical field. Researchers still are on the quest for further materials with a high transition temperature. It is decisive that these materials are easily to be processed and that they have the necessary mechanical properties. (orig.)

(orig.)Original Title

AbstractAbstract
[en] During the melt processing of superconducting wires and tapes a number of partial liquid phase regions are entered, and the type and amount of second phases that exist in the melt before cooling are critical in determining the microstructure of the final material. Decomposition pathway of Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox(Bi2212) with 0, 2, and 10 wt% Ag added was examined at 1 bar PO2 by performing SAME/EDS analysis on oil quenched samples. A variety of quaternary phase diagrams were constructed to describe the evolution of the phase assemblage with temperature. At all Ag contents, Bi2212 first undergoes a peritectic reaction producing (Sr1-xCax)14Cu24O41(14,24), Bi2(Sr1-xCax)4Ox(24x), and liquid
