AbstractAbstract
[en] Using simple analytical methods based on the Wolfenstein phenomenological parametrization of the Kobayashi-Maskawa mixing matrix, we consider the predictions arising from the quark mass matrices proposed by Fritzsch, Stech and Gronau-Johnson-Schechter, respectively

AbstractAbstract
[en] The 3 x 3 Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix V is parametrized, without using a CP violation phase parameter explicitly, by four independent parameters α ≡ |Vus|, β ≡ |Vcb|, γ ≡ |ub| and ω ≡ |Vcd|2 - |Vus|2. The rephasing-invariant quantity J of CP nonconservation is estimated by means of extrapolation form J = 0 at γ2 = 0. It is speculated that |J| ≅ αβγ ≅ 3.8 x 10-5 and ω = -α2β2 ≅ 9.4 x 10-5

AbstractAbstract
[en] The decay of heavy quarks (b and t) is studied with the help of spectral functions. As much information as possible is directly taken from experiment. Older computations in the free quark approximation are supported. This is important for the extraction of Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements from experiments. (Author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] We discuss all possible rephasing invariants of the Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix. We find that all CP-violation phenomena of the KM matrix are expressed by linear or quadratic functions of one special class of nine invariants and the imaginary parts of these invariants are the same with respect to the KM angles and phase i.e. C1C2C3S12S2S3 sindelta where C/sub i/ = costheta/sub i/ and S/sub i/ = sintheta/sub i/

[en] It is pointed out that the parametrization of the Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix recently put forward by Kielanowski suggests an Ansatz for that matrix which, though different from the one of Kielanowski, is for all practical purposes indistinguishable from it

AbstractAbstract
[en] A summary of constraints on the CKM angle γ from recent LHCb analyses are discussed. The results of a combination of several LHCb measurements of γ are presented, giving where the single uncertainty is a combination of statistical and systematic sources. This represents the most precise measurement of the angle γ. (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] We present the update of the Unitarity Triangle analysis in a scenario beyond the Standard Model. Combining all available experimental and theoretical information on D F=2 processes and using a model-independent parameterization, we extract the allowed New Physics contributions in the kaon, D, Bd, and Bs sectors. We observe a departure from the S M in the Bs sector.
