AbstractAbstract
[en] The 25 kinds of dominant lichens of the Degelen mountain massif of the former Semipalatinsk test site are studied. It is defined, that complex of ecological factors have influence on spreading of lichen flora ceno-population. Lichens heterogeneousness in ability to radionuclides accumulation is determining of variety its anatomic-morphologic structure and physiological activity as well as physico-chemical properties of soils in places of its inhabited place. It is determined, that lichens are able to exist within limits of exposure dose capacity 18-3000 μR/h and under radioactivity by α-radiation 233-426 Bq/kg, by β-radiation 7000-15000 Bq/kg and Cs137 150-620 Bq/kg. The largest accumulating ability have Parmelia scortea (570 Bq/kg), Parmelia fraudans (620 Bq/kg), Parmelia cetrata (470 Bq/kg), Parmelia conspersa (340 Bq/kg). Cesium-137 in lichens in 2-8 times higher than maximum permissible dose. Complete relation is showed between lichens and inhabitated substrates created conditions for determination of radiation situation by precise characteristics of lichen flora

[en] The dose limits are the following. An efficient dose of 20 mSv per year on average over a 5 year period but no more than 50 mSv in one year for the occupational exposure of workers over 18 years. An efficient dose of 6 mSv per year for the occupational exposure of apprentices between 16 and 18 years. An efficient dose of 1 mSv per year for the public. The article gives also the dose limits for specific organs like skin, crystalline lens, hands and foot. (A.C.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] This document is a brief synopsis of tritium and its radio-toxicity. Tritium is an unstable isotope of hydrogen, it is produced in very low amount by the interaction of cosmic rays with the atmosphere. The most part of tritium stems from nuclear industry including electricity production, military applications, medical and research activities. The natural production of tritium ranges between 50 and 70 PBq a year. The production of tritium by a 1300 MW nuclear reactor is about 0.032 PBq a year. The tritium limit of potability for water is 10.000 Bq/l which means drinking 5600 l of water at that limit to receive a radiation dose of 1 mSv. (A.C.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The radiation performance standard (SPN, abbreviated in Dutch) is a measure for the maximum level of radiation in newly built houses (radon and external radiation). A brief overview is given of the principle of the SPN, the planned legal implementation as part of the Dutch Building Decree ('Bouwbesluit'), and the calculation method (NEN 1781)
[nl]

AbstractAbstract
[en] Recommendations of the ICRP were quoted in relation to the changes in the concept of tolerance dose. The maximum permissible dose and the maximum permissible accumulation dose in Japan were described. The estimation of levels of risk in individuals and in groups was described. The present condition of the exposure levels of the Japanese by various radiation sources was reported. (Chiba, N.)
