AbstractAbstract
[en] The invention is intended for measuring the intensity of source emission passed through an absorber depending on relative velocity between the source and absorber. Two or several absorbers with the corresponding number of detectors are mounted in the above device for separate simultaneous measuring the spectra of a standard sample and a sample under analysis

AbstractAbstract
[en] The invention is aimed at increasing the accuracy of Moessbauer spectrum measurement by compensating external exciting effects. For compensation an additional modulator, its design being identical to the basic one, is introduced into standard spectrometer. The axes of both modulators are parallel, radiation source and absorber are located respectively on the rods of basic and adolitional modulators. Compensation is achieved at the expense of similar reaction of basic and additional modulators to external effects

AbstractAbstract
[en] All aspects of Moessbauer spectroscopy are dealt with, including the phenomenon of recoilless emission and absorption at low-energy gamma transitions, experimental methods, quantum theory, hyperfine structures within the Moessbauer spectrum, line profile and relaxation processes, statements on the nucleus, solid-state physics, metal physics, and applications in mineralogy, geology, archaelogy, chemistry, and biochemistry. The appendix presents characteristics and decay schemes of Moessbauer nuclides. 710 references are given

AbstractAbstract
[en] Three hundred and forty six publications appearing from the later part of 1977 to the end of 1979 were selected from approx.300 articles on Moessbauer effects. Publications are included that deal with some new Moessbauer transitions that have been reported, one of which is 240Pu which allows studies of Pu not before possible. The literature is dominated by papers that deal with 57Fe and 119Sn. Some other isotopes that have received a good deal of attention are 197Au, 151Eu, 129I, 121Sb, and 125Te. Many of the review articules surveyed deal with applications of Moessbauer spectroscopy. Some of the applications deal with hydrogen systems, polymers, ferric oxides and hydroxides, catalysts, corrosion, organoiron, surfaces, coatings, hemes and hemoproteins, peptides and proteins, iron prophyrins, metallurgy, radiation defects, and various aspects of mineralogy
