AbstractAbstract
[en] Positive muon spectroscopy enables the magnetic and electrostatic properties of solids to be determined. The advantages of the method are as follows: the μ+ appears to locate itself interstitially. Therefore it is possible to determine, for instance, interstitial magnetic fields in magnetically arranged solids (determination of the density of interstitial spins). The absence of defect creation by the μ+ is an interesting event. The method has been used for studying the scattering and localisation of the μ+ and for studying magnetically orientated solids (semiconductors, semi-metals, supraconductors, spin glass, metals)

AbstractAbstract
[en] We present an up-to-date complete model-independent global fit to b → s observables that confirms patterns of New Physics able to explain the data. We include the recent LHCb measurements of R, R, R, B → and B → in our analysis, which now includes 254 observables. This updates our previous analyses and strengthens their two main outcomes. First, the presence of right-handed couplings encoded in the Wilson coefficients and remains a viable possibility. Second, a lepton flavour universality violating (LFUV) left-handed lepton coupling ( = -), often preferred from the model building point of view, accommodates the data better if lepton-flavour universal New Physics is allowed, in particular in . We observe that the LFUV observable Q offers a very interesting possibility to separate both types of scenarios.
