AbstractAbstract
[en] We determined the most appropriate Hamiltonian that is needed for calculations of nuclei in the A ≅ 130 region from the viewpoint of the interacting boson model (IBM). Using the best-fitted values of parameters in the Hamiltonian, we have calculated energy levels and B(E2) values for a number of transitions in some doubly even Nd nuclei of 128 ≤ N ≤ 140. The results were compared with the previous experimental and theoretical data, and it is observed that they are in good agreement. The calculations have been extended to Nd isotopes for which some B(E2) values are still not known

AbstractAbstract
[en] The level structure of 144-150Nd is analysed taking into account the experimental information available, with respect to the symmetries of IBM-1. The level energies, B(E2) values, and interband B(E2) ratios are compared with available data. The adopted level schemes of 144-150Nd and the varying limitations of the interacting boson model in these isotopes are discussed. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this study, we determined the most appropriate Hamiltonian that is needed for present calculations of nuclei in the A≅130 region by the view of projection of IBM-2 parameters onto IBM-1. The interacting boson model has been widely used for describing the quadrupole collective states of the medium heavy nuclei and no distinction is made between proton and neutron variables when the first version of the model (IBM-1) is applied. So, triaxiality can be described explicitly, through the introduction of cubic terms in the boson operators. However, the microscopic foundations state certainly that it is very important to describe the proton and neutron variables explicitly. This is also a generalized definition of the second version of the IBA-model (IBM-2 model). Using the best-fitted values of parameters in the Hamiltonian of the IBM-2, we have calculated energy levels and B(E2) values for a number of transitions in 144,146,148,150,152,154Nd. The results were compared with the previous experimental and theoretical data and it is observed that they are in good agreement. Many B(E2) values that are still not known so far are stated and the set of parameters used in these calculations is the best approximation that has been carried out so far. It has turned out that the interacting boson approximation (IBA) is fairly reliable for the calculation of spectra in the entire set of 144,146,148,150,152,154Nd isotopes

AbstractAbstract
[en] The 144-150Nd isotopes lie at the lower end of deformed region A150-200 and have shape phase transition from spherical to well deformed. The 144,146Nd nuclei correspond to spherical anharmonic vibrator, 148Nd to a transitional nucleus and 150Nd to soft deformed rotor. The Asymmetric Rotor Model (ARM) of Davydov and Filippov is applied for the analysis of level structure, E2 transition moments, and B(E2) branching ratios for inter- and intra-band transitions

AbstractAbstract
[en] Low-lying hexadecapole states in stable even-even neodymium isotopes have been investigated by means of inelastic electron scattering. Transition charge densities were extracted in a Fourier-Bessel analysis of the form factors. The analysis of the experimental results within the interacting sdg-boson model with only one g boson allowed the extraction of the radial shapes of the hexadecapole structure functions of three of the different boson-pair configurations (i.e., dd, sg, and dg) involved in the hexadecapole excitations

AbstractAbstract
[en] The new separation extraction method was created based on oscillatory extraction/stripping process in two extractors coupled by bulk liquid membrane (LM). The experimental set-up to investigate the kinetics of non-stationary processes was built in Saint Petersburg State Institute of Technology at Rare Earth Department. To induce the oscillatory extraction-stripping process the cyclic Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction or cyclic electrochemical oxidation-reduction was used. The experimental evidences of cerium and neodymium isotopes separation were obtained. The separation of 142Ce and 140Ce isotopes between aqueous phases of two extractors coupled by bulk LM in the experiments with cyclic chemical oxidation/reduction with enrichment factor about 2.5% was observed. In the same conditions the separation of the Nd isotopes (heavy isotopes of Nd: 144Nd, 145Nd, 146Nd, 148Nd and 150Nd from the light isotope: 143Nd) in the same experiment with enrichment factor about 0.7-1.4% was observed
