AbstractAbstract
[en] A reaction product mass separator (CARP) which is now being constructed for use with the AVF cyclotron at RCNP is described. This device is intended to separate unslowed recoiling products in nuclear reactions from the primary beam and to analyze them according to their charge-to-mass ratio. The use as a mass-spectrograph or as a mass-separator is available according to the experimental requirements. The solid angle and the energy range of acceptance will be 10 msr and 20%, respectively. AbstractAbstract
[en] According to modern concepts, the electron-neutron-nuclear (Aen) phase of dense highly degenerate matter can be realized in the shells of neutron stars. This phase has relatively stable and absolutely stable states of thermodynamic equilibrium. Strong magnetic fields can exist in neutron stars. For this reason, analysis of their effect on the characteristics of the Aen phase is of great interest. It is specially important to study the influence of strong magnetic fields on the energy yield of nuclear reactions in dense nuclear matter because the transition to the absolute equilibrium state proceeds through these reactions

AbstractAbstract
[en] Two statistical approaches to nuclear disassembly are compared. One is based on a sequential chain of binary decays, and the other on the microcanonical treatment of fragment configurations in a fixed freeze-out volume. The two approaches are formulated in a manner to facilitate this comparison. A volume related to the sequential approach is defined. This volume is interpreted in terms of entropy conservation. Effective freeze-out volumes are defined for various yields. From this it is shown how similar predictions can arise from the approaches which are based on mutually incompatible assumptions. Differences in Coulomb effects are explored. A detailed comparison of two sets of predictions is made for a test example, and the reasons behind specific differences are studied. It is suggested that such differences can serve as experimental signatures to distinguish which approach is more appropriate
