AbstractAbstract
[en] The object-oriented programming (OOP) concept was radically established after 1990s and successfully involved in Fortran 90/95. The features of OOP are such as the information hiding, encapsulation, modularity and inheritance, which lead to producing code that satisfy three R's: reusability, reliability and readability. The major OOP concepts, however, except Module are not mainly used in neutronics analysis codes even though the code was written by Fortran 90/95. In this work, we show that the OOP concept can be employed to develop the neutronics analysis code, ASTRA1D (Advanced Static and Transient Reactor Analyzer for 1-Dimension), via Fortran90/95 and those can be more efficient and reasonable programming methods

[en] After the mid 1980s, the new programming concept, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), was introduced and designed, which has the features such as the information hiding, encapsulation, modularity and inheritance. These offered much more convenient programming paradigm to code developers. The OOP concept was readily developed into the programming language as like C++ in the 1990s and is being widely used in the modern software industry. In this paper, we show that the OOP concept is successfully applicable to the development of safety analysis code for containment and propose the more explicit and easy OOP design for developers

[en] The aim of the micro-computer program OMEUPS is to provide a simple means of critically assessing and compacting collision strength data for electron impact excitation of positive ions. The program is interactive and allows data to be analysed graphically: it should be of particular interest to astrophysicists as well as to those specialising in atomic physics. The method on which the program is based allows one to interpolate or extrapolate existing data in energy and temperature; store data in compact form without losing significant information; perform Maxwell averaging; detect printing and computational errors in tabulated data

AbstractAbstract
[en] In conventional burnup calculation, simplified burnup chains are generally employed for computational efficiency. Although the simplified burnup chain calculation has provided sufficiently accurate results in neutronic analysis, it is still desirable to use a detailed burnup chain calculation in the extended use of the burnup calculation (e.g., source term analysis). Recently, a Krylov subspace method with Pade approximation, which showed better performance in the detailed burnup chain calculation, was suggested. In this paper, the Newton divided difference (NDD) scheme is newly adopted in a Krylov subspace method as an alternative to the Pade approximation and implemented in the ORIGEN 2.2 code. It is tested on a sample problem and compared with the method currently used in the ORIGEN 2.2 code

[en] OFFSCALE is a personal computer program that serves as a user-friendly interface for the Criticality Safety Analysis Sequences (CSAS) available in SCALE-4. It is designed to assist a SCALE-4 user in preparing an input file for execution of criticality safety problems. Output from OFFSCALE is a card-image input file that may be uploaded to a mainframe computer to execute the CSAS4 control module in SCALE-4. OFFSCALE features a pulldown menu system that accesses sophisticated data entry screens. The program allows the user to quickly set up a CSAS4 input file and perform data checking
