AbstractAbstract
[en] In recent studies a model has been proposed for the gluon distribution function xG(x,Q2) related to double Pomeron pole exchange. The dependence of its parameters on Q2 is calculated using the Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi evolution equation, both in the leading log approximation and in the double log approximation. The behavior ∼ [In(1/x)]b turns out to be unstable to perturbative calculations. 11 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] The authors show that modern Regge fits to rising cross sections using the Harari-Freund p+f model of diffraction are not consistent with two component duality. If a conventional Pomeron is chosen (dominant j-plane pole plus weak cuts), the resulting f is dual to the resonances plus one-half the background. In contrast, the p - f identity model of diffraction is shown to satisfy a modified form of two component duality

AbstractAbstract
[en] A simple model of the vacuum is developed in order to explain the properties of the pomeron observed in experiments. In the model, (bare)pomeron exchange corresponds to two-gluon exchange. We explain how it can be that when the pomeron couples to a hadron, the two gluons couple predominantly to the same quark in the hadron, and how together their coupling is similar to that of a C = 1 isoscalar photon

AbstractAbstract
[en] Reggeon field theory is shown to be mathematically equivalent to a simple chemical process where a radical can undergo diffusion, absorption, autocatalytic production, and recombination. Physically, these radicals are wee partons. The mathematical apparatus of RFT can thus be replaced by a very intuive and physically simple picture of interacting partons
