[en] An exact closed form of solution to the hyperradial Schroedinger equation is constructed for any general case comprising any hypercentral power and inverse-power potential. The hypercentral potential depends only on the hyperradius, which itself is a function of Jacobi relative coordinates that are functions of particle positions (r1,r2,..., rN). This article is mainly devoted to the dernonstrat of the fact that any ψ of the form ψ = powerseriesxexp(polynomial) = [f(x)exp (g(x))] is potentially a solution of the Schroedinger equation, where the polynomial g(x) is an ansatz depending on the interaction potential.
[en] The continuous search for improved profitability of nuclear power plants has led a large number of plants to undertake Power Uprate (PU) projects, either in the modality of increases based on fewer measurements uncertainties (increases of around 1.4% to 1.7%) or of increases of expanded power (of up to 5%) and/or extended power (of more than 5%). At present, more than one hundred American and European plants have completed power uprates ranging from 1% of Original Thermal Power (OTP) to values of 20% OTP. Another fifty plants around the world are in the process of executing or plan to execute uprates in the next four years. Cofrentes NPP has been one of the plants that has most decisively undertaken Power Uprates projects, as in the last fifteen years it has completed three successive uprates, it licensed 102% in 1988, 104.2% in 1998 and 110% OTP (1081 MWe) in 2002. The CSN is currently evaluating the license proposal for the Flow Adjustment Power Uprate-APAC (1096 MWe)-based on reduced uncertainty in the feedwater flow measurement for calculating the generated thermal power. This article describes the process followed in Cofrentes NPP for the Extended Power Uprate to 110% OTP. It describes everything from the methodology used, analyses performed, required modifications, resources employed and licensing process, to the most significant results obtained during the project. [en] The paper proposes a quasicrystal model of the structure of clusters. The model is based on the similarity of the structure of clusters and macroscopic structure of quasicrystals. It offers a formula to calculate the radii of successive coordination spheres in quasicrystalline films. The formula is based on the properties of Fibonacci sequence and characteristics of the power potential of interaction between particles. (paper)
[en] The experimental wind turbine AWEC-60 was developed to evaluate the possibilities of the Large Wind turbines, from the technical and economical point of view. The project was developed by a spanish-german group, integrated by Union Fenosa, Asinel, M.A.N. Neue Technologie and the Instituto de Energias Renovables from CIEMAT, starting the operation during the year 1990. In this paper, the obtention of the wind turbine power curve is presented, which has been obtained in agreement with the Recommended Practices for Wind Turbine Testing and Evaluation from the Executive Committee for the Research and Development on Wind Energy, of the International Energy Agency (AIE). Using the functioning data of the wind turbine correspondig to the first quarter of the year 1991, the power curves have been obtained, and the results have been compared with the curves measured in other similar Large wind turbines.
