AbstractAbstract
[en] Description is given of a pulsed-answer spectrometer in which excitation signals provide a selective excitation in a wide resonance-frequency band. A low frequency oscillator is linearly frequency modulated during time intervals T0 much shorter than the recurrence period, and its output signal undergoes a frequency transfer F0 in a single band modulator receiving a F0-frequency wave from a high-frequency generator. An amplitude-modulator makes it possible to generate graps in the frequency-excursion of the output-signal of said modulator or, on the contrary, to increase the amplitude of said signal for a portion of the frequency-excursion. In addition, it cancels that signal outside time-intervals T0. This can be applied, in particular, to nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry

On decrit un spectrometre a reponse impulsionnelle dans lequel les signaux d'excitation permettent une excitation selective dans une large bande de frequences de resonance. Un oscillateur a basse frequence est module lineairement en frequence aux cours d'intervalles de temps T0 beaucoup plus courts que leur periode de recurrence Tsub(r) et son signal de sortie subit une transposition de frequence de F0 dans un modulateur, a bande laterale unique recevant l'onde de frequence F0 d'un generateur haute frequence. Un modulateur d'amplitude permet de creer des lacunes dans l'excursion de frequence du signal de sortie du modulateur, ou au contraire d'augmenter l'amplitude de ce signal pendant une partie de l'excursion de frequence. [en] The theory of branching processes was applied to the analysis of neutron counting statistics in a previous note. A purely algebraic manipulation of the general formulae leads to a surprisingly simple structured explicit solution for the experimentally measurable quantities (moments of the probability generating function).
