[en] The description is given of a neutron guide component, made of two strips and two plates of which the lateral parts of the internal sides are cemented on to the strips, the internal surfaces of the strips being polished. Clearances to take the joining adhesive of the plates and strips are made in the lateral parts and the strips are in contact with the internal sides of the plates beyond the clearances, so as to determine the spacing of the plates

AbstractAbstract
[en] Prediction of dryout point was experimentally investigated with deionized water upflowing through narrow annular channel with 1.0 mm and 1.5 mm gap respectively. The annular with narrow gap was bilaterally heated by AC current power supply. The experimental conditions covered a range of pressure from 0.8 to 3.5 MPa, mass flux of 60.39 to 135.6 kg/m2 and heat flux of 5 to 50 kW/m2. This paper presents a new analytical model for the prediction of dryout point for steam- water flow in narrow annular gap and bilaterally and uniformly heated tubes. The prediction of dryout point for bilaterally heated annuli was based on the droplet-diffusion model for internally heated annuli by Kirillov and Smogalev (1969, 1972). The dryout model prediction values are compared with a experimental data, showing a good agreement in accuracy for the above mentioned parametric range. (author)

[en] The charging device is suitable for inserting or extracting flexible irradiation samples with lengths up to several metres into and out of bent irradiation channels under water. The lid of the pressure vessel is removed for this purpose. The charging device has a charging tube, which is supported in a framework so as to be movable in an axial direction, which in turn can be inclined relative to the horizontally positioned platform on the framework. Inside the charging tube there is a threaded spindle with a grab for the sample. The treaded spindle acts as charging drive and is locked to prevent rotation. (DG)

Die Ladevorrichtung eignet sich dafuer, flexible Bestrahlungsproben bis zu einer Laenge von mehreren Metern in gekruemmte, unter Wasser liegende Bestrahlungskanaele einzusetzen bzw. herauszuziehen. Der Deckel des Druckbehaelters ist hierbei abgenommen. Die Ladevorrichtung weist ein Laderohr auf, das axial verschiebbar in einem Geruest gelagert ist, welches seinerseits gegenueber einer horizontal positionierbaren Geruestbuehne geneigt werden kann. Im Innern des Laderohres befindet sich eine Gewindespindel mit Greifer fuer die Probe. Die Gewindespindel dient als Ladeantrieb und ist gegen Verdrehungen gesichert. (DG)Original Title

[en] In this research the axial void fraction distribution in two laterally interconnected channels with plate or smooth blockages in one of them has been determined experimentally for different void conditions at the inlet of the blocked and unblocked channels. It is observed that a substantial recirculation zone with high void content forms downstream of the blockage. Outside of this recirculation zone, the void fraction in the unblocked channel is somewhat higher than in the blocked channel. The presence of the blockage promotes mixing between the channels, thus reducing the void differences that may exist between them. (author)
