[en] The safety coupling is placed between a control rod and a drive shaft. It prevents coolant to escape from the reactor vessel. For this purpose the control rod has got on its coupling part a sealing surface which, on coupling, is contacting another sealing surface on the guide tube for the drive shaft. The stopping plugs for the guide tube are supported rotatable in horizontal direction and are mechanically coupled with a safety disc. (DG)

[en] A design is described of a device for the suspension, transport and securing of control rods of experimental and training nuclear reactors. On the body of the control rod there is at least one claw and one recess on the support beam. A revolving key with a lever passes through the body of the control rod. On the face of the control rod there are suspension pins, a removable transport suspension with a hollow and arms of which one has a contour identical to that of the lever in the unblocked position. On the bottom part of the pin joint in the secured position of the control rod is the bush of the pin joint. The constant position of the control rod is secured by a quide in the fuel assembly and a notch in the claw in which engages the pin fitted in the beam. Technical drawings are included. The described device increases safety and shortens handling time with control rods during an experiment. (J.B.)

[en] Control is provided for short or part-length control rods used to govern power distribution within the reactor core, to prevent them from dropping to the bottom of the reactor upon loss of electricity. A spring-operated latch is fixed on the control rod support to positively mechanically lock the rod against movement in either direction. Two magnetically-actuated alternately-operating rod-moving members are preferably provided, each carrying its own independently-actuated latch or gripper mechanism for connecting the moving member with the rod or for disconnecting it. [en] The control rods fastened to the vessel head of a nuclear reactor and which can thus be removed with the head are protected in the removal of the vessel head and its lay-down. For this there is a cylindrical component surrounding the ends of the control rods and jutting out past these which is used as support for the vessel head. The component is fixed to a plate which is held onto a further plate connected with the vessel head by supports where some of the supports are hollow and take up the control rods. The replacement of the vessel head is so designed that fuel element bundles of the reactor core have set pins with conical points for alignment and just into conical counter bores of the plate possessed by the component. Both plates can furthermore be aligned opposite supports of the core support structure. (DG/LH)

Die am Behaelterdeckel eines Kernreaktors befestigten und mit diesem abnehmbaren Steuerstaebe werden bei der Abnahme des Behaelterdeckels und seiner Abstellung geschuetzt. Hierzu dient ein die unteren Enden der Steuerstaebe umgebendes und ueber diese hinausragendes zylindrisches Bauteil, das als Stuetze fuer den Behaelterdeckel benutzt wird. Das Bauteil ist an einer Platte befestigt, die ueber Tragstuetzen an einer weiteren mit dem Behaelterdeckel verbundenen Platte gehalten ist, wobei einige der Tragstuetzen hohl sind und die Steuerstaebe aufnehmen. Fuer das Wiederaufsetzen des Behaelterdeckels ist vorgesehen, dass Brennelementbuendel des Reaktorkernes Passstifte aufweisen, die konische Spitzen besitzen und zur Ausrichtung in konische Gegenbohrungen der Platte hineinragen, die den Bauteil traegt. Beide Platten koennen weiterhin gegenueber Tragstuetzen der Kerntragkonstruktion ausgerichtet werden. (DG)Original Title

[en] Guide distortions are accomodated and jamming of absorber elements in the guide are prevented with the control rod system for a nuclear reactor core in which fast neutrons are used for the chain reactions. The absorber elements are hung on a central rotating support. When introducing in a downwards direction, the absorber rods are moved in such a manner that the minimum distance from the side between the absorber rods and the inner wall of the guide is increased. The group of absorber rods is thus attached in such a way that it compresses with this downward movement. Supporting arms can be used for this which are rotationally mounted on the support. They spread out sideways and are flexibly fixed. A T-piece ball-and-socket joint or a shackle toggle joint is used as attachment. In the upward motion, the absorber rods return by themselves to their starting position. (DG/LH)

Mit der Steuerstabanordnung fuer das Core eines Kernreaktors, bei dem schnelle Neutronen fuer die Kettenreaktionen benutzt werden, werden Fuehrungsverformungen akkomodiert und Festklemmungen von Absorberelementen in der Fuehrung verhindert. Die Absorberelemente sind an einem zentralen Halteglied schwenkbar aufgehaengt. Bei der Einwerfung in Abwaertsrichtung werden die Absorberstaebe so bewegt, dass der minimale seitliche Abstand zwischen den Absorberstaeben und der Innenwandung der Fuehrung sich vergroessert. Die Gruppe der Absorberstaebe ist also am Halteglied derart aufgehaengt, dass sie sich bei dieser Abwaertsbewegung komprimiert. Hierzu koennen Tragarme vorgesehen sein, die schwenkbeweglich am Halteglied montiert sind. Sie erstrecken sich seitlich nach aussen und sind gelenkig befestigt. Als Befestigung dient z.B. ein T-Stueck-Kugelgelenk oder ein Gelenkauge. Bei der Aufwaertsbewegung kehren die Absorberstaebe selbsttaetig in ihre Ausgangsstellung zurueck. (DG)Original Title
