[en] The Borel summability method is applied to summing diverging Born series obtained from the Lippmann-Schwinger equation for the two-body T matrix with the confluent form of the epsilon-algorithm of Wynn with the Borel method is shown to yield a rapidly converging solution of the scattering equations of comparable accuracy to other standard methods

[en] We consider the effects of nonlocality on the determination of the deuteron radius for model potentials. We show that the relation between the model values for the radius and the scattering length which holds for local potentials is not necessarily valid for nonlocal potentials. It is possible for nonlocal potential models to produce a deuteron of smaller radius as required by experimental data. In particular, we show that the Reid model can be amended with the inclusion of an attractive separable term to produce a change in the radius which is of the correct order of magnitude

AbstractAbstract
[en] The free two-nucleon W matrices are studied for a number of two-nucleon channels, including coupled channels, and over a range of laboratory energies to 250 MeV. For realistic interactions these W matrices are shown to be simple, smooth, and real functions of (half-on-shell) momenta. The free two-nucleon t matrices are expanded in separable form by the W matrices and the (fully off-shell) remainder matrices left thereby should have a negligible effect in any (low-energy) few-body calculation

AbstractAbstract
[en] The two-body correlation functions obtained in a lowest order constrained variational calculation for hot nuclear and matter, with the Reid potential and the explicit inclusion of Δ(1234), are state averaged and used to calculate the three-body cluster energy. The three-body cluster energy is found to vary between about 1 to 2 MeV through and beyond the twice nuclear matter saturation density for temperatures between 5 and 20 MeV. However the inclusion of three-body clusters does reduce the nuclear matter flashing and critical temperatures. A critical temperature of 14.8 MeV and a critical exponent of 0.347 are found. The results of entropy calculation are in good agreement with experimental predictions and other theoretical results. Finally it is shown that by allowing an explicit Δ(1234) degree of freedom through the Reid potential and including up to the three-body clusters, the LOVC calculation yields the other nuclear and neutron matter properties close to the available semi-empirical and experimental data at zero and finite temperatures
