AbstractAbstract
[en] A rotor apparatus intended for the study of gas/surface interaction processes is presently nearing completion. The carbon fiber rotors under consideration are constructed with shapes derived from long thin cylindrical rods oriented with the longest axis in a horizontal plane, and spun in a horizontal plane about an axis which is perpendicular to the long axis and passes through the mid-point of the cylinder. The beam formation processes are discussed and rotor diagrams presented. Performance of these types of high speed rotor show them to have a very important future as sources of intermediate energy molecular beams

AbstractAbstract
[en] The article describes the perspectives of using active bearings in rotor-bearing systems. The principal scheme of a mechatronic tribotechnical system anв classification of actuators used in such system are shown. Piezo actuators are considered from the point of view of use as actuators in active bearings. The comparative characteristics of different types of actuators (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Noise reduction usually is conducted before analysis of mechanical fault feature, which could damage effective signals. This article proposes an algorithm of blind source separation based on the second-order statictics. The method focuses on noise separation rather than noise removal. So there are no harms to effective signals. This idea might provide a new way for noise reduction. The algorithm of blind source separation based on the second-order statistics blind identification is applied to seismic data. The results show that the algorithm is effect, noises are separated and re-moved, and the rotor fault feature is picked up. (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] This patent describes a poly-phase, self- energizing, air-core superconducting motor. It comprises a stator having three sets of windings; a rotor including a large rotor winding and a small rotor winding, the windings being installed so their axes are orthogonal to each other and connected to form a current loop which is exposed to a magnetic field, the stator and rotor each being made from a superconductive material, and the ratio of turns of the large winding to the small winding being between 5:1 and 10:1; and, means for trapping a maximum number of magnetic flux lines in the loop when the magnetic field is impressed thereon and for thereafter transferring the trapped flux between the large and small winding to run the motor, the loop acting as a perfect conductor whereby no flux change occurs within the loop after the flux lines are trapped

AbstractAbstract
[en] The neutron chopper comprising a cylindrical immovable collimator with radial slots and coaxial cylindrical rotor with analogous slots located over the helical line is described. The purpose of the invention is the increase of relative aperture and decrease of background, increase of relative, pulse duration, expansion of energy range of transmitted neutrons and reduction of neutron pulse duration. This aim is attained due to the fact that in the chopper additionaly mounted are the rotors which form two groups of rotors with opposite rotation direction. Angular velocities of rotors in groups are chosen as diminishing in an integral number of times with their remoteness from the rotor with the highest angular velocity, containing in each group. Dimensions and velocities of rotor rotation are chosen in order to obtain one short neutron pulse in case of coincidence of all rotating rotor slots with collimator slots. It permits to decrease the neutron pulse duration which is determined by angular velocities of the fastest rotors in groups. The other rotors serve to decrease the background, increase the relative aperture, expand the energy range of transmitted neutrons and increase the relatixe pulse duration

AbstractAbstract
[en] The article proposes technical solutions for increasing the efficiency of finishing-cleaning and hardening processing of parts on the basis of rotor-screw technological systems. The essence, design features and technological capabilities of the rotor-screw technological system with a rotating container are disclosed, which allows one to expand the range of the resulting displacement vectors, granules of the abrasive medium and processed parts. Ways of intensification of the processing on their basis by means of vibration activation of the process providing a combined effect on the mass of loading of large and small amplitude low-frequency oscillations are proposed. The results of the experimental studies of the movement of bulk materials in a screw container are presented, which showed that Kv = 0.5-0.6 can be considered the optimal value of the container filling factor. The estimation of screw containers application efficiency proceeding from their design features is given. (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The paper presents a position estimation method of the Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) based on inductance model through FEA. The phase inductance of SRM is seriously nonlinear. Based on FEA, Fourier analysis result of phase inductance shows that more than three times harmonic contents are smaller. Ignoring more than three times harmonic, the simplified inductance model is expressed. Then a new rotor position estimation method is presented, which is based on the inductance model. Experiment results show that the effectiveness of the method proposed is verified, and under different saturated conditions, the method can accurately estimate the rotor position of Switched Reluctance Motor.
