AbstractAbstract
[en] Mineral contents in flesh of abalone Haliotis squamata were analyzed by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer method. Samples of abalone Haliotis squamata used in this research were treated by three types of live feed, i.e. Gracillaria sp., Ulva sp., and mix of Gracillaria sp. and Ulva sp. Flesh of abalone H. squamata contained of some mineral i.e. K, Ca, Mn, Zn, Fe, Cu, Hg, and Mg. In the flesh of abalone H. squamata fed with those feeds, K had the highest value followed by Mg while the lowest was Cu. In food, Ulva sp contain the highest K followed by Ca with the lowest was Cu. In contrast, Ca had the highest value in Gracillaria sp followed by Mg while the lowest was Cu. (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In the Nuclear Research Laboratory of the Mongolian State University we have been using the American Perkin Elmer corporation's equipment which is called ''The Atomic Absorption Spectro-Photometer'' (AAS) since 1981. Our task was to connect Perkin Elmer equipment to an IBM/PC compatible computer and to automate the manual operations. We describe a new design of the instruments which allows us to connect the Perkin Elmer equipment ot the IBM PC/XT type computer and consequently to automate its manual operations that are necessary during the measurements of each sample on it. A timing diagram of date signals which should appear on the AAS display and the general principle to operate of the instrument have been reviewed. Finally authors draw your attention to the opto-isolator which is necessary to protect the Perkin Elmer equipment, the IBM/PC/XT computer and the new equipment in case of any accident. In other words the new equipment is connected by the optical isolator link to the computer. 3 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Research has been carried out on Fe metal content from samples of tin cans of Lassegakote circulating in the community. This study aims to determine Fe metal content from canned beverage. Sample beverage solution are taken based on the difference in the length of time the sun is exposed. The consentration of Fe is determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The results show that Fe metal content at various type of beverage with tinplate cans is increase if the sunlight exposure is longer. (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] This study was aim to assess one of the flower inducing parameter of mango plant for further research and development to produce premium Perlis Harumanis mango in off-season. The carbohydrate content in mango leaves were known as the flower inducing parameter but there was no scientific research on the concentration variation of carbohydrates especially for Perlis Harumanis mango grown in the greenhouse. In this study, the elements of carbohydrate content such as glucose and starch concentration level in the leaves were analyzed using UV spectrophotometer observed during the vegetative and productive growth. The results of the study showed a higher concentration value of glucose and starch during productive growth. Meanwhile for the total carbohydrate content, the highest concentration value was obtained during the vegetative growth. (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Instrumentation was designed and constructed for automatic control of plutonium by molecular absorption spectrophotometry, on behalf of the reprocessing facilities, to meet two objectives: on-line measurement, of the valency state of plutonium, on by-pass, with the measured concentration covering the process concentration range up to a few mg.l-1; laboratory measurement of plutonium adjusted to valency VI, with operation carried out using a preparative system meeting the required containment specifications. For this two objectives, the photometer, optical cell connections are made by optical fibers resistant to β, γ radiation. Except this characteristic the devices are different according to the quality required for result

AbstractAbstract
[en] The reaction between silver (I) and thiomicher's ketone (TMK) was sensitive at pH 5 and 8 in the presence of non-ionic or anion surfactant. We studied the complex solution and determined the properties by beta-correction spectrophotometry, which included the complex ration and the stability constant of the complex. The results showed that complex Ag(TMK) was formed in the presence of alkylphend ethoxylates (emulsifier OP) and Ag(TMK)2 was formed in the presence of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS). Their real absorptivities are as follows: εAg(TMK)540=5.23 x 104, εAg(TMK)2555=1.05 x 105 Lmol-1cm-1 both at pH 5 and εAg(TMK)2555=7.52 x 104 lmol-1cm-1 at pH 8. The stability constant of complex Ag(TMK) was equal to 1.23 x 105 at pH 5, and that of Ag(TMK)2 8.29 x 109 at pH 1.15 x 1011 at pH 8

AbstractAbstract
[en] This study aimed to determine exposure time needed by organophosphate pesticides (OPs) to decrease acetilcholinesterase (AChE) activity in wistar rats. Twenty-five male were divided into 5 groups. The control group without OPs exposure (K0), the group exposed to OPs for 1 week (K1), and groups (K2), (K3) and (K4) exposed to OPs for 2,3, and 4 weeks respectively. The blood sample was taken every week and the AChE activity of blood sample was measured using a spectrophotometer. The results showed that AChE activity decreased with the longer OPs exposure time. Exposed treatment for 3 weeks (K3) 162.80 ± 4.56 U/L showed a significant difference (p <0.05) on control (K0) 499.20±6.99 U/L. The results showed that the AChE activity of (K3) significanly decreased 162,80±4,56 U/L compared to control (K0) 499.20 ± 6.99 U/L. In conclusion Exposure OPs pesticide 3 weeks can reduce AChE activity. (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] An introduction to the uses and importance of pyrazole-5-one and -2- pyrazoline derivatives, it also contains a concise review of methods of determination for these derivatives, as well, basis of amplification reactions, spectrophotometer, diazotization and polarography. The second chapter deals with determination of some pyrazole-5- one and -2-pyrazoline derivatives by titrimetric method in combination with amplification procedures.(40 tabs., 8 figs., 103 refs.)
