AbstractAbstract
[en] It is shown that in a quark--gluon gas with the gauge group SU(2) at temperatures T--200--300 MeV the number of degrees of freedom is reduced at distances r--1 fm on account of ''freezing'' of the T, Q, and Y discrete subgroups of the group SU(2)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In an earlier paper we gave the complete group-theoretical classification of BPS states of the N -extended D = 4 conformal superalgebras su(2, 2/ N ), but not all interesting cases were given in detail. In the present paper we spell out the interesting case of 1/ N -BPS and possibly protected states.

AbstractAbstract
[en] We review the recent developments in the field of cuprate superconductors with special focus on the recently observed charge order in the underdoped compounds. We introduce new theoretical developments following the study of the antiferromagnetic quantum critical point in two dimensions, in which preemptive orders in both charge and superconducting (SC) sectors emerge, that are in turn related by an SU(2) symmetry. We consider the implications of this proliferation of orders in the underdoped region, and provide a study of the type of fluctuations which characterize the SU(2) symmetry. We identify an intermediate energy scale where the SC fluctuations are dominant and argue that they are unstable towards the formation of a resonant excitonic state at the pseudogap temperature T *. We discuss the implications of this scenario for a few key experiments. (report on progress)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A general formula for the generating function of an arbitrary coupling-recoupling coefficient of SU(2) is derived via the Bargmann formalism (Rev. Mod. Phys.; 34:829 (1962)) and graphical calculations. The result is expressed in terms of sums over the two finite sets only of subgraphs of the Jucys graph of the coefficient. A new explicit expression for the coefficient is obtained. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Exact numerical diagonalization of the Bohr Hamiltonian by SU(1,1)xSO(5) methods is used to obtain detailed quantitative predictions for single-phonon and multi-phonon excitations in well-deformed rotor nuclei. Dynamical γ deformation is found to significantly influence the predictions through its coupling to the rotational motion. Basic signatures for the onset of rigid triaxial deformation are obtained

[en] The states which minimalize the uncertainty relation ΔJ1 ΔJ2 >=1/2/< J3>/ are eigenstates of complex linear combinations of J1 and J2. This kind of states is shown to have a very simple geometrical interpretation in the constellation formalism. A detailed description is given in the present pap

AbstractAbstract
[en] New models of the SU(2|1) supersymmetric mechanics based on gauging the systems with dynamical (1,4,3) and semi-dynamical (4,4,0) supermultiplets are presented. We propose a new version of SU(2|1) harmonic superspace approach which makes it possible to construct the Wess-Zumino term for interacting (4,4,0) multiplets. A new N=4 extension of d=1 Calogero-Moser multiparticle system is obtained by gauging the U(n) isometry of matrix SU(2|1) harmonic superfield model.
