AbstractAbstract
[en] Radiation preservation processing of strawberry was studied. The results show that single seal processing or combining with irradiation processing under given doses is of no practical value, but only combining with chill processing can promote lengthening period of fresh keeping. Single irradiation processing under given doses provides not only good initial state, but also the beginning of bad development at top speed on microorganism. The composite processing of irradiation, chill and seal can supply extended shelf lifetime with optimum value of dual synergetic effect

AbstractAbstract
[en] From extraction experiments and γ-activity measurements, the exchange extraction constants corresponding to the general equilibrium M+ (aq) + NaL+ (nb) ↔ ML+ (nb) + Na+ (aq) taking place in the two-phase water-nitrobenzene system (M+ = H3O+, NH4+, Ag+, Tl+; L hexaethyl p-tert-butylcalix[6]arene hexaacetate; aq = aqueous phase, nb nitrobenzene phase) were evaluated. Furthermore, the stability constants of the ML+ complexes in nitrobenzene saturated with water were calculated; they were found to increase in the following order: Ag+ < NH4+ < H3O+ < Na+ < Tl+. AbstractAbstract
[en] It is clear that the risk of toxicity to normal tissues in combined therapy is reduced by separating drug administration and radiation exposure in time. The short-term interaction of drugs and radiation aimed at producing enhanced tumour cell kill is difficult to demonstrate in vivo in animal experiments and unlikely to be important in clinical practice. Increased toxicity of normal tissues in man has been manifest both in terms of early and late reactions and probably also in carcinogenesis. In the latter context choice of drug and possibly sequencing may be important in minimising the risk of tumour induction. There are few experimental studies examining moderately long time intervals between drug and radiation exposure. The administration of chemotherapy prior to irradiation may be less toxic than the converse sequence, although clinical data supporting this contention are limited at the present time

[en] Plasma-wall interactions are discussed. The term synergism is used in fusion research to describe wall phenomena where the combined effect of independent processes is significantly different from the individual effects considered separately. Examples are listed. (U.K.)

[en] The radioprotection of the rat parotid gland by WR-2721 alone (DMF, 2.4) was compared to the protection afforded when WR-2721 was given in combination with the hypoxic cell radiosensitizer Ro-07-0582 (DMF, 2.6). It was concluded that the radiosensitizer of malignant tumor cells Ro-07-0582 was compatible with and did not reduce the protection of normal tissue afforded by WR-2721

AbstractAbstract
[en] Full text: Snake venoms are unique biologically active polymers of an animal origin. Though in the global literature the data are resulted on researching of zoo toxins, however many questions still remain not mentioned and need deep analysis and studying. Many questions on influence of small dozes gamma-radiation and other kinds ionization radiations on an alive organism remain open. These questions are important for technology of radiating sterilization of medical products, finding-out of the mechanism of additively and synergism, estimations of radio-ecological risk at influences of small dozes gamma-radiation on structure and dynamics of development of various biological and organic systems. In connection with special biochemical and preparations of venoms vipers and for an estimation of ecological factors (in particular, biotic, an electromagnetic field, gamma-radiation, solar radiation) on its properties we investigated influence gamma-radiation 60Co on structure at low temperatures. At low temperatures researches and at revealing prostrations effects in organic and biological systems of an organism from effective methods is radiotermoluminence. The method of radiotermoluminence will allow to receive data on structural properties of system, on the centers of stabilization of charges of initial products radials venom, about ways of migration of energy absorbed at an irradiation and so on. Samples on venom were irradiated in special a ditch with scales-beams at 77K up to dozes of %5 kGr. Before an irradiation samples were cleared of traces of oxygen. The irradiation was spent on air and in vacuum. Curves lighting registered with a speed gamma 50/1.min. It is shown, that in an interval of temperatures 77-330K the curve lighting radiotermoluminendce venom of vipers irradiated at 77K up to dozes 3 kGr is characterized not by a symmetric maximum at temperature 172K. Warming up to temperatures 320K results in monotonous decrease of intensity of a luminescence. It is established, that intensity of peak at 172K increases depending on doze D=0-15 kGr gamma irradiation under the linear law. The irradiation on air results in additional weak peak at 185K and to downturn of intensity at 172K. It is shown, that the peak of a luminescence at 172K can be dissymmetric for an estimation of the absorbed doze. The opportunity of change of medicinal properties of venom of vipers is discussed at influence of small dozes of scale-radiation.
